Tire Inflator ??

I bought this tire inflator and the male coupler does not fit the Milton female that I use and I believe everyone uses. Does anyone know what the thread is on the Milton male coupler so I can try and tap it for the coupler that works. Thanks for any reply.

Might sound like a stupid question?
But have you actually taken the fitting off and tried screwing in a 1/4” NPT fitting?
There are different styles. I think mine are the M-Style. With the short tail.

I bought 2 whole kits at Lowe’s.
If the new tool I buy uses a different style. I take it off and put one of mine on.
I haven’t ran into any that were different thread pitch?

 

Cheap junk from China from a seller that misrepresents themselves as being located in the US. Not surprised it doesn’t work. I’ve never seen an air coupler that looks like that. Throw that thing in the trash and buy a simple air chuck and a tire gauge.

 

I have "a simple air chuck and a tire gauge" and always have just thought I'd try a one step instead of 2 step process.

 

Yes I took it off - it's not the same it's smaller.

 

You’ll likely have more in the tap and fitting then you paid for the inflator.
I’d buy a quality name brand and have confidence it’s read at least close to right.

But that’s my opinion.

 

I'm sure U R correct Sir - For $10 thought I'd take a shot - if I sent it back it would probably cost $5 to send it back plus time, effort and packaging.

 

Mine appears to have an adapter with a 1/2"-18 thread for the 1/4 NPT fitting to screw onto.

Thread on the adapter looks to be metric 1.25 although it also measures 1/2" so maybe some wierd other imperial thread
