Mirror cap

Walked out to my truck the other day and the small cap cover for the driver side mirror was gone. No damage to the mirror so it's pretty odd it fell off. Toyota want's me to purchase the entire mirror assembly . Anyone know where to purchase just the cap that is on the underside of the side mirror?

Post an ad in the 3rd Gen Tacoma Parts Marketplace and maybe one of the guys who made the below upgrade can hook you up.

Fortunately, mirror caps come pre-painted from the factory. So you can order the mirror cap directly from the dealer (or eBay) and it will come painted, ready for install.

I just looked at your photo and I see you're talking about the lower part... yeah, post a WTB on the BST section. Plenty of those laying around from their @MESO puddle pod installs.

 

Sorry, that’s not the part I’m referring to. As you see in the pic I have that part. I’m in need of the small cap that covers the electronic mirror wire. That part is black/grey on all Tacoma’s Appreciate the link though

 

Yeah, I caught that. Post a new thread on the BST stating that you WTB (want to buy) that lower mirror cover. There will be a bunch available, from anyone that installed a @MESO puddle pod light kit. TONS!!!

Any update? I am looking for the same part but on the passenger side! Can’t find it anywhere in the Los Angeles area.

 

LOL i'm in Santa Monica. Maybe we have a cap thieve in the area. A member is mailing me one from the mod that they did. I'd post a similar message and see if a member can help. It was about an hour after I posted that I got help

The passenger side cap for my 2019 model Tacoma is missing as well. Anyone know of there I can find this plastic piece?

 

I also have this issue. My passenger side bottom mirror cover has disappeared. 2021 Tacoma SR5. I attempted to post my need in the marketplace but I don't have enough posts to qualify for posting. Ugh.

 

Dang, Im looking for the exact same part, passanger side. Tree branch knocked mine off.

 

Mine just got knocked off today by a sheet of ice someone didn’t clean off their truck. Does anyone know where to get this piece?

 

I've been told that it is only part of the entire mirror assembly and is not available separately. I want to write to Toyota to complain about this but not sure where to go to write a complaint that will actually be read by someone at Toyota corporate. How ridiculous that a plastic part that clearly snaps on and off the mirror is not available to purchase without buying the whole mirror. ugh

 

Anyone have a passenger side one of these? Looking to buy for a while now.
