    Aha! I see now.

Seems like a simple enough measure-once/cut-twice exercise.:rofl::rofl:

:boink:Easy fix now you just need another saw to make the bevel cuts .

    A very good reason

I'm just sick of lifting this Cast Iron 1950s table saw and heaving it around

    Reserected from the dead.
That's why I sold mine years ago. I built all our cabinets using a straight edge and a skill saw.

Table saw was just another place for orphaned tools to be banished to.

Once I get this cart done it will pull mega-duty.. Router Table, Table saw, Welder storage, Miter Saw station, Worktable, etc. and I won't need to lift the saw out of it for a long time. WHEELS!!

Horizontal surfaces are the worst things to have in a shop. Also drawers and cabinets are just places to shove stuff once all those horizontal surfaces are piled so high that stuff starts falling off of them.

Solved that issue with a folding table saw a couple decades ago.

Doesn't collect "stuff" since it sits on one end. :D

This is a Law of the Multiverse no getting around it .

Pick up beds make excellent areas for storing things as do the hoods and the roof it just happens when your not even around.

I just put a diode bridge in my harbor freight cheapo welder and it welds fantastic

    pics in a bit

Next step would be capacitors but I feel the gain from that would be futile for the effort and money

Only reason I didn't get a better machine was that they're all inverter based now and my old school generator fried the simple electronics in a really high quality jumper pack I had after a simple jump start so I'd really hat myself if i fried a whole welder

It would suck especially if I needed it to work

this stupid little transformer unit doesnt care and now dcen welds flux core alright

    Fresh weld on 3/16 plate
    IMG_20210208_204805.jpg

The slag felt like thick dust it wiped off with little effort
    IMG_20210208_204855.jpg

The welder, you can see the heat sync for the diodes
    IMG_20210208_205156.jpg

A better pic of the diodes and connections all are soldered and wrapped in copious amounts of scotch super88 electrical tape

Just for kicks (and to have a baseline) I wanted to see how long my new Titanium 200 solenoid took to leak down with the tank valve closed.

Probably boring to most, but maybe helpful info for new folks buying a Titanium welder in the future to compare against.

End result is I'm not going to worry about turning the tank valve off and on between welds like I was before. Still need to turn it off when done of course.

Started at just past noon with 800psi on the high pressure side. (bought the 80CF cylinder in June)

High pressure side slowly bled down into the low pressure side pushing it higher, PSI needle hit the bottom peg between six & seven hours later.

Low pressure side still holding some gas this morning, ~20 hours after turning off the tank valve.

Put some dish soap around your fittings and find where it's leaking :D

99% of the time mine leaks where it screws into the tank, have to get rowdy with it to get it to stop.

That harbor freight welder is cheap but it only welds bad because it goes from the transformer to the gun/ground, no rectifier

Meaning youre welding flux core with ac current which is why it's meh at best

But with a bridge rectifier added and it outputting dcen its pretty legit... I mean it welds like my 1200 dollar everlast 211si granted a bit cooler because it's on 120v and not 240v

but it's all anyone needs for welding at home or on the truck and light enough to carry anywhere, Ive made carports with it strapped to my back as I'm welding on a ladder

I honestly feel like I wasted my money on the everlast because it doesn't stick weld right (can't run 6010s that run fine at school), and can only tig in dc (no aluminum)

Its a mig welder that can stick or tig but certainly not a stick or tig welder, the user interface isnt that great... It adjusts volts in increments of 5 and is hard to understand (give me a bigass old school transformer machine please) it's not like the space saving aspect of the inverter does any good since it's set on top of a cart and because it's on wheels who cares how much it weighs... (It's still 90 lb and not fun to carry around outside the garage)

Because it's inverter based im scared to plug it into a generator (which I needed to do at one point, but instead decided to buy the harbor freight cheapo) that already fried a really nice jumper pack of mine

Ok so you converted an AC welder to a DC welder, got it.

Remember things are still pretty new . With me it was not so much during the use it was the getting distracted coming back hours or days later .

Then after years of shutting off cylinders doubt I will change even with out of the box new things that still have low side pressure days later.
