    Hi All,

I am trying to find anyone who has a Retrax pro XR T80812 for second gen.

After the installation, I noticed that the whole cover doesn't fit properly so I noticed that the rail looks incorrect and doesn't look like the advertisement.
The shape isn't square which doesn't allow the ad on Yakima tonneau kit for the Yakima outpost.

And anyone can tell me what kind of rail are those?

    Thanks !

I'm thinking about getting one of these for a 2021 Pro. What did you do with this one?

I love the quality of the product specially the ball bearing. So far, for the 2016 and up Tacoma, there is no issues. Second gen has a slight tailgate offset which the top of the tailgate isn't the same level as the side. I had to return it.

Any thoughts on the one versus the pro? I would be using my cover mostly for protection and don't store much in the way of valuables in the back. So I'm not sure the illumin is worth the extra six or seven hundred dollars dot-dot-dot

Are you planning on keeping your truck for a while ? The retrax pro xr has a lifetime warranty in case thing breakdown, their customers service are very good and they will send part back to you.

    Worth the consideration.

I went to the Yakima website and it does fit. The rails are industry standard T-slot.

    From the Yakima website:

    TONNEAU KIT 1
ADAPTER KIT FOR SELECT TONNEAU COVERS
    SKU: #8001155
Now you can haul a ton of gear without sacrificing the security of your covered bed. This kit adapts Yakima’s OverHaul HD™ and OutPost HD™ truck rack systems to work with the integrated tracks on Retrax XR Series, Pace-Edwards UltraGroove (except for 2004+ F-150), and Ford Embark LS tonneau covers. So you can enjoy the advantages of both a retractable tonneau cover and an overbed truck rack.

I just purchased a Retrax XR pro from RealTruck.com. Love it. Plan to add the Yakima Kit in the future.

    Hope this helps.

Fyi... Retrax told me there is a $100 rebate coming in March if that helps a bit for those on the fence.

rjmart34 Do you have any images that you could share of your tonneau cover?

NO hurry... but would you do me a favor and roll it up and tell me how much space into the bed the housing takes? I want to still make sure my bike will bit using a tailgate pad, and i've gotten two different numbers from two different vendors.

    THanks.

I emailed Santana Lee at RealTruck. (santana.lee@realtruck.com) They are on TacomaWorld. Great personal service. Will buy from them again.

I got the pro. It's heavier. But I agree with you, the difference in price is significant. I would not hesitate going with the lower priced version. Still a great product. Good luck

Just curious - how did you route the drain tubing? Did you drill the bed or find another way?

    Thanks.

I have existing drain holes on the front of the bed. I just oversized them by drilling them out to the size of the drain tubes. Dropped the drain tubes right in. Look great.

I like this set up! anyone know if it could be combined with KBVOODOOs bed side rail cap system? [IMG]
