My son has a car with a red leather interior. It looks sharp. I think it will age well.

A friend of mine has a white BMW with this interior. When I open the door, I’m taken aback. Not sure if I like it or loathe it, but for sure gets your attention.

That shade of red says I don't know if I'm about to go fast or I'm about to get laid, but either way, I'm paying more than I should for it.

In the case of my friend it’s more: “my wife won’t sleep with me anymore, and other women don’t find me attractive because I’m old, and outta shape, but hey........check out this fuckin’ Bimmer I just bought!!!”

I have some cardinal red leather for a 89 bmw i was going to have upholstered. since i now have a 91 e30 in red i cant instal the leather so its stored away. Im super tempted in getting my Black tacoma reupholster with the red leather. I think eventually ill get it done but In the end its your truck so just do what makes you happy.

Did you end up buying it? If so are you liking the red interior bits?

I did not. It was too much for me, and my wife didn't like it either. I am very happy with my Cement interior choice.

Ah ic. I was gonna say if you ended up buying it and still didn’t like it I would have traded you for a clean set of black ones. But that’s good glad you found something you liked.

    Stock and staying that way
Red interiors are a deal breaker for me.

As reference for others looking at this issue; Some people like the red accents... And would be willing to trade for them. So if you are looking at the perfect truck, except for those bits, you can likely address the issue for the cost of postage...

(I do not know how hard the work to remove / intall would be...)

It seems Red - and other funky leather colors (Blue, green, all sorts of browns, etc.) are more common in other countries. I had a car while living in in Europe that had black leather with Silver accents. Looked good! (prob not a good fit for the Taco!).

Last year I stumbled across this Sport at my local dealer. They installed red Katzkin leather. Looked sharp but was not a premium trim which I personally think was a mistake. A combo like this deserves a sunroof. They were more deep red than my photo represents.

The '62 'Vet is my dream car, minus the red interior. Not for me.

I think the red seats on their own would look ok, but not the dash and everything else.

I kinda like the new age red interiors like some of the pics that have been posted in this tread. But the possibility it’s a fad is very strong IMO. After all, the early 90s model Silverado’s had a burgundy and blue option. As hideous as I find them to be, somewhere along the line someone said, “yep!!! This is it. This will be a hit!”
