Oh I have no doubt those bitches put any other MT to shame in terms of road noise. Rubber that's good in the rocks is always the most obnoxious on the road in more ways than one.

I think my exhaust and tires are the loudest things on my truck right now. Guess I'm adding sound deadening to the list of shit I need to buy. I've thought about updating the stereo in my truck, but it works fine for me. Maybe one day.

Yeah, I might as well just save up the extra few bucks and just plan on 5.29s and a front ARB. Tundra Brakes as soon as I get my 315s, and the onward to gearing and locking the front.

Yep! Hopefully I get some time this weekend to practice some sheet metal work. Still trying to dial in settings on the new welder and I'd prefer not to blow holes through the cab of my truck. :bananadead:

The tubbing isn't that bad. It's the damn welding that gets you. Make sure there's some .023 wire around and do not use flux core unless you like to get pissed off. Ask me how I know. lol

x2 on the .023 for sheet metal.
Don't forget to get the right size contact tips for .023 as well.

Yeah, I couldn't figure out if it was the liner or the tip that was the other part. Tells you how much remember about fab work. :bananadead:

I'll ask my dad in the AM about what we have and add a few things to my Amazon cart.

Be sure to get solid pinion spacers when you regear. As others have stated, 5.29s are preferred for the 3.4 when stepping up to "35"s (let's be honest, everyone has 315s).

Tubbing isn't bad and you can do it with .30 if you absolutely have to. Take your time, move slow and stitch weld. Make damn sure you have a wet towel in the cab at all times and a person on standby to drown out fires.

Pitbull are earplugs required. Been there and done that.

They are a great tire but between the noise and the shitty sales tactics, I moved on from my set once I jumped to 17’s.

So we speak sas in this thread. Whats the take on military axles? I think spartantaco and gridlock on the gram are running those. Is that ridiculous or a good option.

Yeah, if I go to ECGS, I'm definitely getting that front and rear.

I would have gotten the Coopers if they weren't an E rated tire. My dad's old 2nd gen Taco had KM2s that were E rated and it road very stiff. Definitely don't want that especially when my truck is lighter than his 2nd gen.

SpartanTaco is running Super Duty Axles and Gridlock is running a Chevy D60 and Dana 80.
