Any recommendations for a place with decent prices and selection for lights/lift/general mods?

I used 4 Wheel Parts in Louisville for my wheels & tires, they were the lowest price I could find and they pay the tax if you order online. The aftermarket TPMS sensors they installed wouldn't work so they went to two different Toyota dealerships to find the sensors, paid full retail for them and didn't even hint at charging me extra. My customer service experience with these guys was excellent. They also install everything they sell. The only downside of course is they're in Louisville...

Yeah I had seen them, will probably check them out at some point. I saw another place actually in Lex called Lucky's or something like that, any experience?

I was in there once but didn't find what I was looking for. They seemed to have a pretty good selection of tires & wheels but I was looking for Method and they were pushing Fuel.

You bet. You picked a good place to start with TW. There's a wealth of good info on here, you just have to sort out fact from fiction. Of course that's true anywhere. Good luck!

Imo 4wp in louisville is the place to go for fair price and fair service. Theresa guy who runs the landcruiser FB page who can turn a wrench and suggest the best parts for a budget, but doesn't really do much new vehicles.

I stay away from the truck shops in lexington. 100% overpriced and shitty business practices. Just for bro dozers.

I stay away from all the shops and do my own work tho, so don't listen to me.

I'd love to be able to do my own work but.. I'm also not willing to screw up my truck and I know I would.

There's also a BDS authorized shop in Alexandria called Performance Off Road that looks pretty good from everything I've found. I'm thinking very seriously about turning him loose on a BDS 6" Fox coil-over lift for my truck. I just have to decide what I'm gonna do with the 17" Method Grids & 34" KO2s that I just bought lol.

I've been looking at suspensions from OME, but suspension is definitely a long term goal.

Oops, typo. I typed 34" KO2s when I meant 32" KO2s. Yeah, there are so many suspension options out there it'll make you dizzy. The hardest part for me was figuring out what size wheel, offset, and backspace would work with the right tire size so I didn't have to take a cutting torch to my truck to make it all fit. I ended up going with BFG 32s so I didn't have rubbing issues with my 3" level kit. The 32" KO2 275/70/17 is 32.2" diameter and the 33" 285/70/17 KO2 is 32.8". That 0.6" difference meant I didn't have to do a CMC or trim any plastic for street driving. That worked out well for me initially. Now I've decided to go with a 6" lift and 35s, requiring me to cut a 7" chunk out of my rear crossmember, go figure lol. Current setup:

Lol yeah no cutting is preferred. Eventually, provided I don't find something I like better in the meantime, I'm thinking I'll go with a 2" lift (that part I'm pretty set on) and KO2s or GY Ultraterrains in 265/75/16

    o_O uh wut.

 35s here and no missing cross member pieces. Also, cut front fenders for a guy who had a 3rd gen, on 35s. No other cutting involved there either. Neither of us had a lift over ~3" either, front or rear.
Once you go bracket lift, you don't go back.

Welcome to all you new folks! Glad to see the state is gaining new members :hattip:

I really don’t know any but I’m sure they exist. Nice TRD you’ve got there, like those wheels.

Nothing I know of either closer than the DBBB. Unless you count the rough road at Sugar Creek in Lancaster to get down to the range :D
