    Hi all,

Been having consistent issues with my 2017 Tacoma TRD sport v6 currently 63,000 miles. I live in Ohio, snow, salt , rain you name it .

what I’m about to tell you is now become the 2nd time . First time was around 40,000 miles. I’ve started to have large squeaking noises , sounds of a belt or pulleys . I took it under to dealership ( warranty) the first time for fixing they said pulleys replaced . Issue gone . Now it’s back .

has anyone had issues with your pulleys or going through belts more often? I’ll post a video when I can

No issues I'm 60k+ miles. If the dealer only replace the one(s) with the issue, than that's that.
IDK if the pulley bearings are under the drive train warranty, but someone may chime-in that knows. If they are go back to the dealer for the rest.

They probably just replaced the one bearing. At 63K is out of warranty. I'd go to a reputable shop and ask for a good quality OEM replacement. They're not cheap, about $40-50 each plus shop markup

Super cheap easy way to hunt it down. Works great.
Take a really long screw driver and touch the metal end of the screwdriver to a spot near the problem area you suspect and then attach some sort of open ended jug or container to the plastic end of the screwdriver. DIY stethoscope. Just use with caution. This should help pinpoint the area

Looks like an easy job the few times I have inspected my belt. Lots of room compared to other cars Ive worked on.

I was getting a light squeak from the belt on Friday. Changed it Saturday, all quiet again. I've only got 36,600 miles but the truck is nearly 4 years old. I figured its not liking the AZ summer heat.

Even out of warranty, given they repaired and replaced an item under warranty and the same item is causing the same problem, shouldn't the dealership cover the work under the original work order. Right?

There is a TSB for belt squeak. The dealer replaced mine with a V rib belt.
