    Hello everyone,

recently got an SR access cab 2.7L in super white and wanted to put some chrome on it. Hopefully no one gives me sh*t for this but I’m trying to make a pavement princess. I wanted to know what is the biggest wheel size I can go with on a stock SR access cab. I wanted to do something like 20x14 to have that poke with some thin-ish rubber. Can anyone guide me on this ? Thank you!

265/70R16 with factory 25mm offset or up to -12mm for "poke"
your gonna have to research if you want that thin-ish rubber or slammed, not un-common, but not the majority or go-to look for a 4x4 truck for weather or off-road
    hope that helps

Thank you for the reply and yes it did help out. My truck is a 4 banger 2x4 so I’m not doing much off-roading. Wish it was 4x4 lol. Most off road in doing is dirt trails to fishing spots. Not really going to get stuck anywhere.

I also have 4 cyl 2.7 4x2 and went from steel 16x7 to fj alloys 16x7 same offset and 265/70r16. I have no intention of off roading but do plan on going to deserts, mountains, things like that and it’s good enough. It’s also my daily driver.529D2708-34CB-48FE-A97E-BE8B1576053A.jpg

Keep in mind that added weight (wheels and tires) frictional increases (tire width) and effective gear change (taller tires) will make your already slow truck into more of a snail.

You dont have to compromise drivability to have bling, but it would be good to rethink the dub route.

The tire calculator should help you vision the results of diameter changes.

These trucks dont do well trying to emulate Texas Metal products.

I’ve thought about this for quite some time. I know it might have a negative effect on the truck and transmission and what not, so I’m thinking about not going that route. Looks sick, but not worth it for a brand new truck.

Looks will never trump function unless the vehicle is only intended for show.

However, looks can absolutely benefit from good application of well made functional choices.
