Just thought I share with everyone my experience with 20's for a new taco. After getting my trd a couple of weeks ago, I scoured the net for some examples of what others have done (as far as 20" wheels) and really couldn't find much for the look I was going for. After some diligent research I finally settled on Fuel Couplers 20x10 and Atturo 285/50/20 MT tires. Took a week to arrived and I just picked her up. Let me just say, I am very happy with my selections. The wheel and tire combo looks awesome and has no rub what so ever. Clearance was my biggest concern because I really didn't want a lift. So I am happy to report to anyone else who want the same that you are good to go with one caveat. And that is I have only done some normal driving so really can't comment on how it will be when she gets dirty. IMG_0724.jpg

    Looks good,
But IMO 20" tires and MT tires are an oxymoron....

But to each is own...best of luck.

This gives me hope as I want to utilize the 20x9 XD818s I currently have on my 4Runner. I am planning on doing a 2-3" lift however. Looking sharp!

It's almost as if the 20" wheels are too big for this truck but then again I can't stop looking at it.

That's why you drive that truck, and I drive my truck. Wasn't being critical, just stating my opinion, just as others have done with my posts. Enjoy your truck.

    Dj. happy to have helped.

Invid. Thank you. You know. you just can't deny if something is aesthetically pleasing even if it defies convention. btw idk if you had intended it to be, but that was some clever display of oxymoronics lol.

Amazzzajr. I was not offended, and I hope you are not either because I was seriously joking... (ok last one. lol) Thank you again for your courtesy.

blkbelt. Thanks! And don't ban Invid, he was cool. To answer your question. Yes, I was able to reuse the existing TPMS. After the install, I simply hit the reset button and the PSI showed up after a couple of miles. And in case anyone is curious. The 285/50/20 MT tires were noticeably firmer but my truck feels a lot more responsive. MPG went from 16.1 to 15.8. Lastly, the tires are louder. Not nearly as bad as I thought it was going to be, but you can hear it over the motor at 65 mph. Let me know if I missed anything.

I'm new here. Is it kosher to mention a lawyer the first time my insecurities are exposed, oh, about my 7th post, or should I wait til I am VERY established, like maybe my 72nd post, do drop the Lawyer bomb on the first guy who calls me an oxymoron? Asking for a friend.
