This is exactly the info I was looking for! Thank you!!

Which company did you use for the paperwork?
Did you have the DRLs installed before coming up here? Also, did you have to get the speedometer and odometer changed?
Any issues with the CT inspection?

As for pandemic and the new boarder restrictions... You didn’t have to cross the boarder or do any quarantining?

I used Autocross Vehicle Advisors Ltd. for the paperwork. $200 for everything. I installed the DRLs once I arrived in Canada. There is no need to change speedo/odo as it has km/h readings below the mph. No issues with the CT inspection, the only mods I had on my truck at the time were: full skids, sliders, front recovery bar & wheels.

I hired a towing company to take my truck through the border to avoid quarantining.

Whatever you do be sure to get the title and a bill of sale. Don't ever settle for a promise that the title will be mailed to you. If they don't have the title then there is still money owing on it or perhaps they do not even own the vehicle. I have imported a 3-yr old trailer and with the title and the bill of sale it was painless. We paid duty at the border and a fee for CT to inspect it. With the inspection report, title and bill of sale we went to ICBC and got the BC registration. I have heard of a young fellow (American living in BC) who bought a car in California from a dealer who promised to mail the title but never did. The car ended up sitting in a lot with fees payable each month and no way to get the vehicle on the road.
