It was great talking to you today Harry. I'm looking forward to installing the LCA pivot on my Tacoma and seeing those beautiful welds in person. Keep up the good work.

Harry, For the front. When using the stock length arm setup. It is mentioned (WHEEL TRAVEL – Allows for additional 2” with factory bump stop and shock modification) what shock modification is required? What are the specs for a Fox 2.5DSC? Would the Fox 880-06-418 be the correct choice? Does it require a specific top mount and hose fittings?

King shocks allow for the additional up travel. I don’t think the fox’s do as the bodies are longer. Honestly I don’t have much experience with Fox stuff. Maybe @desertjunkie760 has more info as I know he’s played around with the fox stuff a little bit

Unfortunately, from my experience, you are correct. The Fox extended travel shocks (-418) have a slightly longer collapsed length than the King shocks. I've noticed that the factory suspension will not use the full stroke of the King shock on a Tacoma but that obviously changes when you start modifying the vehicle and gaining more up travel.

That said, there are a few variables to consider with this kit. Harry designed a new top hat that brings the shock further into the coil bucket, therefore allowing more up travel on the shock. I have not experimented with this setup myself but using that top hat may allow for the additional travel desired. The downfall is you'll loose down travel so I wouldn't call it a good solution.

I have noticed that the Fox 4 Runner C/O (part # 883-02-130) very closely matches the King Tacoma ext/collapsed lengths. :gossip: The hose routings and resi orientation is different from the Tacoma though so I'm by no means recommending people purchase that part # without further investigation... :anonymous:

Maybe I just suck at google, but from a quick search I haven't found any substantially bad review for ADS

Same, all I found was one of the mobtown guys corroded after one winter. but like ~8 people with ones that hadn't. Maybe I missed something. @Sociopenguin runs ADS with no issue and I know he always researches everything till he can't find any more info.

No bad reviews we're talking about travel. ADS does the same as fox for ext travel just make a bigger body with no extra travel.

This. I was talking specifically about lengths.
Well, on the ADS. Icons are just garbage. #saiditmeantit

I'm going with some Locked Offroad C/Os, hoping they fit/work well. 6 week lead-time is a lot better than 28....oof. Hoping to see the rest of my parts arriving soon.

For the locked off-roads, I've yet to see rebuild kits on their site so I wonder if they use the same seals as king or maybe fox instead of something proprietary. Just thinking out loud and food for thought come around rebuild/revalve time

That's a good question and I'll ask Riley when my shocks ship. I might prophylactically order a few seals and stuff for rebuilds if they have it.
