Looking to replace the front speakers on my 2019 TRD sport. Kind of thinking of Focal. I have a set in my house and they rock, just wondering how they would work out in my truck. Anyone have a set?

I don't want to be "that guy" but have you tried searching for Focal?

Any decent aftermarket speaker will be an upgrade over your stockers. That said, the weak link is the power signal from your head unit. I'm not as familiar with 3rd gen decks, but generally stock head units are low power and will not drive the focals as they are intended, so any improvement will be marginal.

Alright, went with the Subaru kicker tweeters, got them in today (nice improvement) the kicker woofers should arrive in a day or two.

How did this turn out? Looking to upgrade my 21 or dcsb. Are you still running the stock head unit? JBL or no?

I did the Kickers in both the dash and the doors. Stayed with the original head unit and it sounds 100% better. I had to laugh when I removed those door speakers. Damn, what a joke. However when you turn up the volume those stocks actually sound ok.
But now is better, by far.
Focal would have required an amp to get the full effect. Maybe another day. Cheers

I actually got the Tweeters from Amazon (genuine Subaru parts) #H63SFJ101 - $98.72 for the kit. Complete plug and play, no mods.
the 6x9's in the doors are the Kickers #43DSC69304, $79.95 include the connection wires so you don't have to cut Andy wires, the mounting bracket that the speaker screws to (doesn't exactly line up with the speaker holes but not a game changer) and some connection wires that you don't need because the existing are plug and play.

It turned out great. Very happy and I am still using the stock head unit, not JBL.

Thanks, I did order the tweets and the 69304s for the front doors and the 6704's for the rear. Bought the Joying head unit to get Apple CarPlay so we will see in a week or so.....

Awesome, I am sure you will be happy.
Now if I can only get my iPod 4th gen to keep playing I can have my playlist back. For some reason it plays fine for a short time then freezes up.

Hello fellas. Not sure if I missed what size speakers you used for the rear doors? I got the tweeters and the 6×9's but didn't see anything for the back the doors.

Hi Don, welcome to the forum.
Most of the audiophiles in the audio & video sub-forum ( https://www.tacomaworld.com/forums/audio-video.12/ ) don't worry too much about the rear doors because those speakers are under powered by Toyota. Use your deck's fade control to see for yourself. They recommend either installing new lower cost 6-1/2" speakers, leaving the stock speakers, or disconnecting them entirely.
