This could not be more true. All these people spending months trying to decide on if they want a +4" or +2.25" kit (which use the same shock lengths) and then want to complain about a lead time on the shock companies. To add to it even more, THESE AREN'T STANDARD SHOCKS. If you were able to order a standard layout layout shock you wouldn't have to wait for a custom job to come through production and could probably find them much more available more quickly. For some reason, people don't understand manufacturing practices and blame the manufacturer.

I recently had an install where the customer placed an order for parts a week before the scheduled date. When I asked they admitted, "I'm spoiled by Amazon and expect NDA."

I find we will even get the blame for long lead times, and we're just a dealer... Apparently we need to have every product for every vehicle on the shelves at all times. Some people have even threatened us with going somewhere else, as if we are the only ones dealing with crazy lead times. Sure, go somewhere else and go straight to the back of the line again!

Meh, potato, potahto -- in medicine they're basically synonymous so I'm used to that world

But also yes, proactively is probably more accurate lol

That $329 assembly fee for the 934 CV’s is looking really appealing after attempting to separate the oem shaft from the outer joint this morning. My god, what a pain in the ass.

Big brass sledge and a few solid hits on the star popped it off pretty easy for me. Just held the shaft in a vice and held the stub to one side so I could hit the star directly.

If it doesn't work after 4-5 solid smacks, rotate it and try again

So you were smacking in an upward motion? Or did you have the shaft angled in there?

Had the shaft hanging in the vice with the CV facing the ground. Hitting it down towards the floor

Brilliant. I’ve got a 2.5lb brass hammer on order and will give that a go when it arrives.

This helped when I rebuilt mine last year. About 14 minutes in. I had to whack it many many times much harder than he did but it eventually worked — https://youtu.be/vcCT4UgFUTw

It took me 3 hours with a punch, sledge, penetrating fluid, and a torch for mine to finally come off. It never loosened up the entire time either. All just to replace a ripped boot.

    I have ADS’s on with JD Fab’s +2.25”
So not stock length, but still got the ADS’ to fit.

I had Tyler with ADS call and speak with Jesse for hose and extended/collapse numbers.
