Has anybody thought about moving to Australia just to be able to access cooler vehicles that toyota offers over there and a change in scenery for offroading? My wife studied abroad there and im trying to get us to move there. I think the trucks over there are cooler!

I was very fortunate to have visited AUS multiple times for work. They call their trucks utes and a mate of mine suggested that I install a "roo" bar on my Taco :)

The last time I visited my hosts showed off their brand spanking new Hilux. 2nd pic shows rear view of the ute - including the luggage as they have just picked me up at the airport and we were continuing on for project visits. The 3rd one is from a farm visit with one of their growers, a Land Cruiser -not sure about the model. The 4th one is a Hilux configured for farm work. The 5th is from a project visit to New Zealand. My host was an Aussie and he liked his utes. Down there "desert air intakes" are not merely accessories but much needed with all that dust.

P.S. I had to attach a photo (#6) of a top dressing air strip I took during my visit to the South Island in New Zealand. Yes, there is an air strip in there somewhere. The planes land, load up on fertilizer, and take off again. This was on the Banks Peninsula. Beautiful country.

Importing is cheaper than moving to a different Continent.

That turbocharged v-8 flatbed pickup truck they make for them down under is truly bad ass.

How far into the process have you looked? I think you need to be highly skilled in a desirable field to be considered for a long term visa.

We visited there years ago with the idea of possibly moving there. The taxes scared us off.

1 Big advantage is the Hilux availability, taxes and driving on the wrong side of the road is a big problem. oh and no guns.

Perfect then you don’t have to worry about some moron accidentally shooting you.

Not a Taco, but check out the mods on this ute (location: New South Wales, Australia). I had a cup of the "flat white"

Criminals still have guns over there. They don't typically care about laws.
