Has anyone ever noticed after you fill up your tank the little screen in the speedometer will sometimes lag for a couple seconds? Like it’ll still say you have 22 miles till empty even though you have a full tank, or it’ll still show the gear change screen?

 

It stays like that until you start to move again.

What are some of your opinions on exhaust systems? How do we feel about straight pipes?

 

When I was young and liked loud exhaust, Borla Turbo was a decent muffler.
People in other threads here say the TRD Performance exhaust is the best tradeoff of good sound but not too loud.

These days, I keep stock exhaust on everything. Any performance gains are minimal, and while you might like the sound everyone you drive past will be annoyed by it.
Especially when you drive through residential neighborhoods at 10pm when people are trying to sleep.

 

@wolf2600 True. I just feel like trucks should sound like trucks. Aggressive/loud. But remaining stock is accurate because I’ve read that these “cold air intakes” that are supposed to make your idle and acceleration sound more loud and aggressive don’t really do much at all and the stock Tacoma intakes are already cold air intakes. And also the mbrp exhaust and Trd exhaust cost a lot and they barely make sounds above stock.
