Joined TW today! Been a long-time reader over the last 18 months. Just arrived home today with a 2021 Tacoma TRD Sport DCSB 4x4 with XP. First Toyota I've ever owned (traded in a 2018 F-150 XLT SE). For my first mod, I'll return to the dealership in 2 days for the newly released TRD lift kit. My dealership is pumped to do it, as I'll be the first one. I decided on the TRD Sport as I'll be more pavement than off road. I mainly travel to mountain bike trailheads (MTB) - that's my off-road fix. PXL_20210301_200225038.jpg

Thanks all! That's where I got this truck (Auburn). Having Chewacla State Park just down the road for some mountain biking while the dealership does service is a big plus for me! No sitting in a waiting room.

Nice! I've heard of some good trails up there. Furthest I've traveled out is to Oak Mountain State Park in Birmingham. Glad I have a few capable MTBs, as getting your hands on a new one today is crazy. Of course I've stayed to my local trails in 2020. Hopefully this spring/summer will be better for some travel.

Yeah my local is Monte Sano, great but very weather dependent trails though.

been to oak mtn a few times but want to get to chewacla too.

we have a trip to Knoxville planned for end of next month if you’re interested!

Wow, that's sounds awesome! But considering my work schedule and what I've just spent (spending) on this new taco, I'll have to pass. I'll definitely track that for possible future events. Never been to a bike park. Makes me wonder now if my MTBs (short travel) are capable enough. Best I have is a 2019 Santa Cruz 5010 C - 130mm travel front and rear. I'm definitely a small jumps guy only. Broken hand in Jan 2020 learned me one thing...leave the big jumps to the young ones...lol.

Great looking truck. Did you buy from Lynch Toyota in Auburn? Also do you mind if I ask what they are charging for the lift kit installation?

Yes, from Lynch Toyota in Auburn. I think I'm getting a good deal since I'll be the first one done here and I just bought this truck, but $400 labor (really good!). I'm going to guess they're not going to do that with everyone. I'm comparing that to the thread here where they're discussing the new TRD lift kit https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/toyota-trd-oem-lift-kit.695620/page-26 and a few YouTube videos I saw. Seems some places are charging really high labor costs, don't know about it, and/or it's not available in that area yet. They told me yesterday they can get it and I'm still set to drop off the truck Wed afternoon and pick up Thu afternoon. I went in thinking about $700 labor (give/take) was fair, but if parts/labor go over 2K, I may look at other dealerships (shop around) for a best price.

TRD lift complete. I like it! $1,997 out the door. Some mix ups and learning experiences for the dealership on ordering all the needed parts for the complete kit and considering alignment. I did end up paying more than $400 for labor (initial estimate), but still ended up with a good deal. They said the next TRD lift customer can expect closer to $2,500. Closer to 1K in labor (2 days). The pressroom.toyota.com TRD lift kit article stating 4-5 hours is way off according to them. Mine was there 2 days.

    PARTS: 1235.00
    EPA COMPL-HAZ WASTE-SUPPLIE: 40.00
    LAB-MECHANICAL: 594.95
    SALES TAX: 127.50
    TOTAL: 1997.45
