The street light in front of the house had been burned out for a month

Figured somebody would call the county about but alas, that never happened. So Sunday I sent the county an email telling them it was out. Got a reply about 10:30 this morning. They said the Georgia Power was responsible for maintaining the street light and they gave me a link to a website where I could report it. Filled out the form and waited. Didn't have to wait long. At 2:30pm the man with the bucket truck pulls up, replaced the bulb and was on his way. Thought to myself - wish all service was this good. Kudos to Georgia Power.

 

Don't tell the neighbors it was you. In my neighborhood you'd be in trouble.

 

Funny thing is, during the month that it was out I got a visit from the sheriffs deputies telling me someone was breaking into cars in the neighborhood. They asked me to check my security cam and call them if I saw anything. I never did but this is what eventually prompted me to report it. Thieves prefer the dark.
