I believe that there is at least one other option; I've the 'Pop & Lock' for a couple of years with no issues at all.

ive been happy with mine have had it pretty much since i got my truck. but i didnt go with the key option for a variety of reason.

this is the one i have and it works great, its all tied into the key fob when i unlock. hit it twice all doors unlock including tailgate. i think a lot of the complaints i have seen is the key one and the plastic they use isnt the best. for me it was one less key to carry around

That's the problem I had with the keyed lock before going electric. The mechanism would kind of bind...it always unlocked, but sometimes it took a couple jiggles....I dunno, it just didn't feel right. No matter how much lithium grease I put on it....or anything else I tried. It was the same. Electric is the way to go, IMO.

The new version of the pop n lock seem to be more reliable. The housing is now abs and protects the motor from getting any unwanted dust/dirt inside that could clog up the motor.

No issues here with PopnLock. I have the one that is coded to my truck key. Installed a backup camera in it and been working great for several years now. I find the secret for longevity is to spray lube on the assembly and all tailgate components after install. I bought the model PAL5410.

I went with a Dynolock. 1st one failed because I think rust proofing fluid got n the actuator during a Krown treatment. Go a new one under warranty, placed it in plastic bag to protect it. It has been working fine for the past 10 years.

The same shit everyone else has.
I’ve had a power Pop n Lock in my truck for 7+ years now with zero issue.
