    Greetings, fellow Taco Peeps,

There's been some shared interest in setting out for another BDR run this summer. Last year wasn't without some learning experiences, as our first run as a group, but was overall a lot of fun and a successful team effort.

A few of us made the entire trip, while others joined up along the way for certain sections. All good folks and fun times.

Using the knowledge from last year, I think things will run just that much more smooth this time around. Putting a feeler out to see if we can start getting a more accurate picture of the collective interest.

Last year we chose July 3 - 9 to make the trip (5/6 of the entire route). Departures were usually around 9-10am, while arriving at the next camp around 4-6pm. Enough time to set up camp, make dinner, and relax from the day's travels.

As previously, I am (we are) open to suggestions. July 4th weekend seemed not to fit with some folk's schedules. Additionally, there was a burn ban. @Tacodog was a life saver after he joined us, bringing his portable propane pit. If we want to attempt a time when a ban is not in affect, that works. I just don't know how much of a moving target that may be in conjunction with weather / trail drive-ability.

I would love to shake off this pent up cabin fever with some wide open spaces and sunshine. Let us know!

    Dates - 7/31 - 8/8

    Supplies to bring / consider
    Cooler / Fridge
    Tent
    Sleeping bag
    - It gets cold / windy, so be sure to have an adequate bag - my 40 degree bag didn't cut it
    Food & drink
    Radios
    - These aren't required, but the more vehicles have them, the safer / faster we can travel
Recovery gear - better to have it and not need it than the other way around
    Air Compressor

It was too maintained and not as scenic as I was expecting.

Last year there was actually very little beer consumed from what I saw.

Still Can’t believe I missed this last year Depending on the final date, I’m in, but only for a couple days, probably over a weekend. The itinerary with daily end points and coordinates is super helpful. July 4 is rough timing as some people have annual traditions, family stuff, etc. June might be too early as there is usually considerable snow at elevation, but as y’all experienced, burn bans can start whenever, though early July seemed early for it. So it’s a balance seems like. Parts is the cascades are at 150% ave. Snowpack this year so take that into consideration. I’m happy to help coordinate, plan whatever.

Bunch of stuff bolted on, some cool, some not
I'd be down to join in, if not the whole thing, at least a couple of days. I should have new suspension by then and be able to keep up :)

    About halfway done...
While I really enjoyed last year's trip I'm thinking of upping the difficulty a bit. For me, this would be attempting some of the middle sections before the snow is fully melted out. Bethell Ridge in particular had 100+ trees that had been cut/cleared from the road. I'm not sure why but I would really enjoy working hard to clear impassable sections.
    Just my 2 cents
