Midwest Tinting in Lee's Summit. They do really good work and we've had three vehicles done there.

It's amazing how we managed to make a measuring system based off of water and it actually works really well lol.

I however usually measure on the banana scale. It's far more intuitive.

Hope everyone is doing well... Hate to ask.... Any recommendation on which oil to use for the transfer case? I have read 2/3 threads and watched a couple videos and it seems like 75W90 is safe to use on both diffs and transfer case? About to hit 15K miles and was going to do the swap this weekend and wanted to be sure I was reading everything correct.

I still haven’t swapped my transfer case. Toyota uses 75w in the transfer case which last I knew you could only get from Toyota. Some have used 75w90 and been fine, others have had issues with it.

75w90 is what’s recommended for the diffs.

are you doing the transmission too?

Thanks going to try the Ravenol I have seen people talk about.

Not yet. I would like to but have heard it was a bit more complex. Also have just thought about taking it to the dealership for that part but haven't decided to yet... I'd like to though.

I do 75w90 in all three, but I'm a second gen. I don't know if that matters. :notsure: I also change the fluids twice as often when compared to the maintenance schedule.

I am certainly under the twice as often category as well. Have used Royal Purple so far and picked that up for the diffs just wanted to be "correct" for the transfer case.

I'll keep paying to have trans fluid changed on the 4Runner. It's just too convoluted and if it blows up I can blame them.
    Luckily DP is 6speed.....

If you work up in the NW quadrant, I have some at the house I can bring it to work. Trade it out when yours comes in.

This might be a dumb question... But anything to grease under the 2020s? I know I have seen some people say the 2020 models do not have any grease "zerks" to grease but haven't looked myself...
