I finally got my panels and I would like to share how, in case someone gets the same issue.

basically Grimco told me when they declined my request, that I could call them and they would give me the contacts of their Lokal customers. I ended up calling a Sign-A-Rama and the woman was willing to order them for me. She just charged me their purchase price +tax. So I left her a 20$ tip for the effort and picked up the panels the next day.

Huh that’s annoying. I went through the same process with grimco and got approved.
If anyone in the Bay Area is looking to order panels lmk, and we can get them ordered for you. Way cheaper than any sign shop would quote me.
Glad you got it sorted out

I think she gave me a really good price, much cheaper than the prices on ripcords shopping list.

So I think its good to call around

Having the same issues trying to find panels. You would think it would be simple since I live right by LAX and near many aerospace companies in West Los Angeles. If anyone in here has a connection please help. Tried grimco as well with no luck at all, and several local sign shops. Have the frame built and aluminum extrusion basically avaliable right down the street.

What did everyone use for the trim around the panels for the sides?

If you're brave, you can also go down the McMaster Edge Trim rabbit hole

I ended up buying 100ft of #24175K43 (link) because it's a bit slimmer and I'll be using it to protect the edge of the whole top sheet of aluminum.

I found one shop who would do it for 75$ one panel. But my biggest issue is to get the panels transported to them.

so I ended up borrowing a router and cut them out myself and it works much better then I anticipated.

Here are a few pictures of my finished camper. Beginning to end took 21 days to complete. I've spent a few nights in it so far and I'm pretty happy with it.
