I really like the Andrew owner of elevated audio.
He started out of his garage he did a great headunit install on the Tacoma..
Fixed some crappy wiring issues for a reasonable price.

I haven’t been to his newer shop, but if I needed anything done that’s where I would go.

Did you do the diode mod to boost your charging voltage a bit for the agm?

Can you find the fuse for the offending system and pull it?

1st gens don't have the economy voltage limiter issue of the 2nd and 3rd gens. Mine puts out a healthy 14.6 volts.

    I didn’t.

Largely in part because I have no idea what the diode mod is.

I haven’t even began looking at this. My garage is currently a dirt (now mud) pit and my tools are in my GF’s garage 10 miles away.

I know looking for a fuse isn’t a big deal but I really haven’t looked into this because I didn’t know it was an issue until this week.

If @Wulf would’ve been here, and not on a mandatory hiatus, it would’ve been 5000+

I checked mine on the 1st gen and it was fine as well stock, no extra diode needed.

You’re probably fine, but worth checking to protect that expensive battery.

I use this thing: Battery Monitor BM2 BM3 Bluetooth 4.0 Wireless Battery Tester 12V Automotive Battery Load Tester,Automotive Charging and Cranking System Monitor Digit https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07GP1RXYZ/

Come on down to my new place and I’ll take a look at it for you. If it isn’t too much of a mess, we could remove it and be done. I know the 2001-2004 1st gen V6 Tacoma’s too well.

That looks cool but the ultimate problem I have is something is draining my battery to the point of death after only two weeks.
