OK, I've already searched TW ... And looked at 1/2 dozen worthless YouTube videos.
Here's what I wanna do.... In order of importance.
2020 Access Cab with the jump seats in the rear.
A: I want to install a somewhat sizeable inverter in the truck. Between 800-1000 watt. I want it in the back, where I can reach it from inside the cab, OR run a power cord out through the back-slider window if need be.
There is a big flat spot in back to mount just about anything I want, between the jump seats. That's the easy part.
I need to find an easy access point to run cable from the rear (4-6 gauge wire) of the cab... Underneath ... Into the engine compartment where it will be hooked up to the battery.
I'm not beyond drilling a hole in my new truck if need be. My wire run will be over-engineered as I want zero probs. Copper lugs, all soldered with shrink-tube, split-loom from end to end, all zip-tied to something ...
    Basically, better than factory.
B: I'm thinking that if I could remove the jump-seats, it would make the whole job a lot easier .. Plus, I'd just like to have those seats GONE. (A bit more room..)
Not worried at all about open plastic panels showing bolts, etc. It's all 'storage room' to me and not worrying about anything looking perfect/factory..

    Any advice??

On both sides of the firewall there are grommets with nipples / udders on them. On the left side where the big bundle passes through, there is a hidden udder on the bottom side. You can snip the udder for a pass through. Pretty sizeable.

The kick panels and door sill trim come off very easily for routing. From there, you can fish the wires inboard.

Note that the inverter on the TRDs is located under the console storage box. A lot of folks have installed an outlet on the back side of the console. You might hide your inverter in there? The OEM one has a fan and is limited to 400w. You'd want to consider if the heat output of yours might be too much?

Thanks for the input ... I need something larger than 400w. And I don't mind if it's just 'out there' (More cooling) ... It'll be in the back of the cab, which I don't mind if it's ugly. Just useful...

    You're welcome.

I wasn't suggesting 400w for you, just the location.

If you have any other power mods planned, it would be a good time to pass through any extra wires.

Oh I know... No doubt. Don't really care about location, other than 'easy to get to' thing. I don't care if it's 'ugly' or not.. I have a 400w one in my van, which, will run a laptop all day, but a little coffee pot or something that draws some amps, it's a no-go.

Yeah. I was hoping that 400w might break the lugnuts free with my corded impact. No dice. Computer charging or some lights is about all that it is worth.
