Just received my hybrid bumper and. Warn evo 10s

It looks like I need to remove solenoid and install it somewhere in engine compartment.
Has anyone done this before? Any help would be appreciated

looks like I can do just behind my the grill for an easier install or put it engine compartment for a cleaner install, but appears need to buy new longer wiring for that

I have moved a few most often into the Cab

Figure out just where you would like to install the solenoid.

Measure how much wire you need don`t be afraid to go a few inches longer with the cable better then to short

Take pictures or label your wires .

Unless things changed Lugs on both ends of the cable .

Feel free to ask questions if needed ?

I did. Borrowed my father in laws 12 ton crimper to make new wires; crimped new connections on, heat shrunk, and added wire loom to keep everything safe against anything sharp or rubbing. Also had to fab up a bracket.

Just the essentials and no extra fluff.
I think Warn makes a relocation kit. You can also order your own custom wires from a few different sources and fab your own bracket. That’s what I did with mine. I couldn’t justify the cost of a crimper and the high per unit costs for the few parts I needed and I would never use up the multi packs.

Added square aluminum tube brackets behind the bumper. Used the wires supplied with the winch.

I’ll clarify that my custom wires were for a fuse and disconnect next to the battery. The factory wires were long enough to relocate my control box behind the grill like yours. I have a control extension from the box to the grill or the remote.

That looks like a clean install. I have the same winch power bracket from the forum member. So mine will be similar to yours

thanks for all the replies. I am going to get a price on the warn relocation kit and then see if it’s worth buying or tackling myself

I would prefer to not be behind grill in front of the radiator. So looking for the engine bay install

really wish I could just keep solenoid on top of winch

    That's what I did...

At first I wanted to relocate the box as well, but then realized the cost-benefit wasn't there and just hacked up the grill...

Sure, it looks like ass, but I'm not planning on entering any beauty contests (for me OR the truck)... lol
