LED headlight sidemarkers

yeah i had to heat it up with my heat gun to seperate it as they crimped it i think ill be able to reuse it

 

so.... @MESO when can we get a restock on those stage 2 switchback markers?

 

Ok ok. I’ll see what I can do. Most of it depends on the availability from DD

 

Took me a while but I think I figured out how to cover these up with orange tint:



Basically cut a really long strip of orange tint, place it over the top, slide the strip in, and then pull on the excess tint film at each end to smooth out any bubbles.

I hate to revive an old thread, but this seems a fitting place to start:

Has anyone else had issues with the included T-taps from DD getting finnicky? Lately I've found that I have to fiddle with the wires every few days to get them back into a position where they hold the current. It's to the point that if I weren't sure about future plans for lights, I'd just cut & solder wires. Maybe I need to take a small piece of wood and lash down all the wires & taps so that the connections can't move?

If anyone's dealt with this & found an ideally reversible/removable solution, I'd love to hear/see it!

 

Do you have it tied into your DRL or side marker wiring? I could make a full plug and play harness with oem connectors.

 

Yellow's tapped to the yellow off the turn signal bulb, red's tapped to the purple wire off the main bundle of wires, and black's tapped to the black/white from the main bundle, believe those go to the DRL, right?

 

Purple is side marker, so they’re tapped into that. I’ve done a few plug and play harnesses using all oem style connectors so it’s seamless and no wire taps. It’s the best way to go for sure and completely reversible.

 

Brain fart, in my head I was thinking "well they took the place of the side marker so how could they be connected to side marker". Definitely need more caffeine, heh.
