Sorry to continue an old thread, but I see guys here quoting prices in the $400s, and all I'm seeing on general's website are prices in the upper $100s. Just wanted to make sure I was comparing apples to apples. I run an 00' taco sr5 ext cab. Thanks

Any update on this? I want to replace my 2012s with 91k miles with the GS HD but would like to know how you dudes are liking them after having them for a while now???

I also found a set of leafs from a 2016 OR with 2k miles that I’m thinking about getting instead of the GS HD. thoughts on this???

no complaints here, and i did end up putting on 6112/5160s

i now have a leer dcc cap and i built a set of drawers for my truck as well out of 3/4" ply so its got some weight to it. Figure constant load in the back is about ~350-400 now w/ tools and trucks rides good. Springs seem to be doing their thing

I’d be using stock shocks so I wonder if that would be an issue.

I don’t think the 3rd Gen 3+1 oem leafs add any lift to my 2nd Gen. I found a set for $50 from a 2016 model.

We gotta remember that we replacing the crap OEM's because they sag. That means part of this "lift" is restoring to stock height not lift above stock height. My buddy has the Dakars and they sit way higher than that. That looks how a truck should look. I think im gonna do this.

Should I get new u bolts at 7 inches long or 6 inches long or should I reuse the stock u bolts? My truck isn't rusted so they look like they will unlbolt easy with some pb blaster

Thinking about getting these as well soon. Would anyone be able to post up some center of hub to fender measurements?

They are holding up well. Will try to get a measurement in the next couple days. I have had them for quite a few years and nothing to complain about. Originally they were really stiff (STS) but once I have my ATV in the back a few times it got more comfortable. Still ride really well.

So here's the numbers 8 years later:

    From 2013:
    FL 20 1/4" FR 20 3/8" RL 23 1/2" RR 24"
    From Today:
    FL 19 7/8" FR 20 5/8" RL 23 1/4" RR 23 7/8"

I will add that I recently added a shell. I am a bit concerned as the the amount of difference between the fronts. Guess it's time install the taco lean spacer which has been sitting in the garage for a year now.

3" Lift w/ 5100's and EMU 882 springs , General Leaf Spring and AAL in rear with 5100. Diff drop, carrier drop, 3 degee axle shims. Trail Gear Tube Bumper. Tundra brake mod.
Ive installed these HD springs recently on my first gen tacoma and I bought the 4600 Bilstein thinking this would not add height. Basically restore to stock height. Should I cancel the 4600 shocks and get the 5100's shocks?

The driver side from the stock plastic fender guard to the center of the hub is about 23 1/4" and the passenger is 23.5" if that helps.
    Thanks

    Camper shell Leer Bed stiffeners
Hey I have 2013 sr5 v6 74000 miles and original stock leaf springs I’m sure they could use replacing at this point and I’ve just recently added a leer xr100 camper shell I started with bed stiffeners and now I’m getting a sag when loaded up with a couple hundred extra pounds , I have stock springs so no bilsteins can I add the general springs hd leaf pack with everything else stock springs ,coils, no spacers etc bone stock sr5 ? Just looking to compensate for the added weight with the shell on daily . Thanks for any advice and sorry if it was long ✌️

Anyone have any pics of a truck with these and OME 884s on 5100s? I'm thinking about getting these for my 13 DCLB.

Any squeaking or other issues other than the settling? I'm looking to do exactly what you did as I'm not looking for a huge lift. My truck has 172k miles and the rear spring is shot. I'm thinking of going this route or placing it with one from a 2020

Thanks in advance for this answer and great post

I towed a few utility trailers before I put the AAL on there with my overload springs staying on there. The trailers were 3K to 4k lbs and no issues. The photo is after the AAL was installed. Those are the General Spring HD's however.
