    What up guys,

looking to add a brake light strip to my truck. Wondering if you have them, pros / cons, did you tap into the brake light (I have a shell that I tapped into my left rear light already), how did you install, and how did you avoid blocking the access hole for the spare tire lock?
Any and all advice appreciated, especially links to the product you recommend!

    Lot's of options for this.

I use a VLED license plate brake bar. No issues covering the spare tire access hole. It comes with t splices to tap the wires which I did when I used the reverse bar option for a few years but, swapped my reverse bar for a reverse hitch pod and used the below option for the brake option.

I used a curt 5 pin harness which plugs in underneath the truck for a clean install. Regarding the spare access, I attached it using 3m locking tape so I can easily remove the light bar if needed. Also, I got the opt7 48 inch bar and it works great. I basically followed this video for the install, but instead used a bullet connect to wire in the reverse light. Pretty simple overall.
