was supposed to get 8" or so with this last storm...ended up getting rain at 6300ft, then 60mph winds all day and night at the higher elevations so all the new snow went...no idea, somewhere else. This morning's pre work ski lap was some mediocre buffed crusty days old powder

ive had WAY worse though lol. It would still be an epic pow day on the east coast

If you like steep and deep, it's definitely your place. Just be ready for wet/heavy snow and flat light haha

I work for a ski shop in NY. We have had 1 of our best yrs ever, even with such difficult times and restrictions. As a Thank-you ownership has decided to take us on a ski trip.
Mid March we are flying to Alaska for a week ski trip at Alyaska. Company paid airfare, lodging and most of our tickets. I love this industry and my company!

We were just gonna go to Utah as we have many times, but AK, is actually cheaper. Airfare is $70 more but lodging is 1/2 the cost. How could we not?

Alyeska is a major money losing resort the entire winter essentially. They make far more in the summer off tourists. So lodging is very reasonable in the winter.

Oh, and we should be up over 600" for the season by this time tomorrow :D

I might be taking my daughter up to Albany in the Summer for volleyball camp. I hear Summer is the best time to buy
a new snowboard and some gear. Maybe I'll swing by your shop while she is at camp. :spending:

We are about a hr south of Albany.
Summer can be a great time to buy.....if product is available. The reason we are able to close the company down for a week and go on our trip is we aint got shit to sell anymore. As of now we has 6 mens boards left on our wall, and 0 bindings. It has been a crazy busy winter, and we can't even get more product as most companies are sold out.
