I haven't wheel d down here yet, but before I moved it was the usual harlan, AOP, etc... The typical SE parks.

Never heard of good evening ranch!

Hah what wheeling? Picked up a MTB and have been riding a bunch which satisfies the dirt/rock/fun needs. Still going through with the 4 link rear on the truck though to "finish it." Essentially going to be an overbuilt camping truck since that's what I really enjoy, plus the wife and I are starting a family. Hell I'd even entertain trading my 1 tons for a nice pair of Diamond axles lol. I love the truck but needs are changing so I feel it will continue to evolve to fit my needs.

Maybe just over the need/want to do hard trails I guess. Camping is way more fun to me haha so I guess that makes me an overlander now?

Go down the weekend of may 8th. There’s a shitbox race that weekend. Should be pretty rowdy.
Also, Brandon, the new owner is awesome and has made some serious improvements.

    Good points!

Good points too lol! I never considered that about having a trailer. Similar issues here with the wife. She enjoys going wheeling, but after a while it's just too much for her. Not the wheeling part actually, but the long drives on the highway. We both have different opinions on how nice my truck rides on the highway LOL - another reason why I was considering the trailer idea.

Got it. Yea, that makes sense man. Needs change for sure. I guess it happens in all hobbies.

I bet you'll trade those 1 ton axles quickly!

Nooooo! Do not become an overlander! LOL

Regardless it's one hell of a build. If you ever get to the Northern part of the state with it let me know, I'd love to see it in person.

Trying to get some number crunch for a buddy. He's hoping someone with 14" 2.0 or 2.5 coilover with first gen tacoma, regardless of its a reg, xtra, or DC with roughly 12" towers can do some measurement. He know it will vary based on springs rating, lower mounting point, vehicle weight etc.

He trying to get some number at level ride height eyelet to eyelet measurement on the coilover for the front.

    TIA

I’m not sure what numbers your asking for specifically but I’m using a 2.5x14in coil over and bypass.
At ride height with a 23 in frame height in at 6.5 inches of up travel. I know it’s not eye to eye measurements but if you need more let me jnow

He's trying to figure out the coilover overall length at ride height. He's trying to see how much the coilover will compressed with just the vehicle weight while parked on level ground. He's saying overall extended length from eyelet to eyelet is ~38.5". He trying to figure how much it will compressed down with just the vehicle weight, armor, etc.
