More interesting that it took that many rounds of "harsh" chemicals to break down the sharpie.

I don’t understand why he didn’t break the products down by a price per ounce. Also, not sure why he chose Ethos as it is a liquid wax not a spray wax.

I am surprised by the Adam’s doing that well as it is not generally considered one of the better Adam’s products out there.

I use Meguiars cause it’s so damn easy. Rinse off the soap, spray on Meguiars while stlll wet, rinse off. No applying by hand, no buffing afterwards. Can be used in direct sunlight.

those products make a great booster if you have a traditional ceramic coating applies.

The Turtle wax hybrid ceramic is amazing and it smells like mangos! nothing sticks to my truck after I treat it. I even treated my Ikamper mini with it.

thats how I use the meguiars on my trucks. I find my professional stuff I had applied sheets water more and the meguiars beads more. I prefer sheeting but either is better than nothing.

I've had fantastic results with both Carpro actual coatings like CQUARTZ UK and the spray, Reload. However, Hydr02 is the easiest to use I've found. Spray on and rinse off. That's it.

Got around to putting a coat of Turtle Wax Hybrid Ceramic Coating spray on my truck this morning. I am really liking this stuff. I noticed just while I was out taking the picture these little 4 winged insects could not hold on to the paint with the wind we have blowing. They just blow right off.

Ok, I'm going to vent just a bit here. Having detailed vehicles for over 25 years and having played with ceramic coatings for almost 10 years now, I have a problem. I believe the only real ceramic coating is one carefully applied by a trained professional in a clean shop after proper paint correction and decontamination. Personally, I'm a big fan of CarPro CQuartz UK, but it takes me at least 4-6 hours to properly prepare and coat a car with it or any number of other similar ceramic coatings.

I recently had a potential customer accuse me of price gouging when he asked how much I would charge him to coat his Subaru. His exact words were: "Why the hell should I pay you that much when I can ceramic coat it myself in my own driveway in 10 minutes for less than $15.00?" (The product he was proposing using was the Turtle Wax spray coating.) When I told him how long to would take me to do his car, he laughed. "You must really be slow then." Yea, I was really broken up as he drove away.

Here's my rant. I don't believe that these "spray ceramic coatings" are real ceramic coatings at all. I don't believe they last anywhere near as long. I don't believe they provide anywhere near the protection. I don't believe they provide anywhere near the gloss. And finally, I don't believe they should be marketed as "ceramic coatings." At best, I'd say they're great for helping to maintain a true ceramic coating.

OK, I feel better now. Carry on.

Yep, the sprays are designed to give protect similar to a sealant, and to top a true ceramic coating. but they dont add any hardness.
CQUARTZ UK can be applied by an amateur such as myself, but it takes me way longer than half a day.
    It's all about prep.

You know that and I know that, but clever marketing has many folks convinced otherwise.

The 10 min spray ceramics are not true coatings although some are great sealants the process and durability are very different. I think they need to Focus the fact that these spray ceramic sealants are “ceramic based” but the sio2 content in them is very low when compared to a true coating.
