I'm a big fan of spring skiing, even if the boulders are getting bigger and the lines are getting smaller out there. Just a few weeks ago most of these rocks were buried.

Another nice spring corn harvest yesterday @Tour991. I'm hoping to get back out with the kids tomorrow.

They are bored on lodgepole now

We've been skiing popular and wiggle a lot in the past few weeks. The oldest is linking turns nicely and can stop on a steep slope (I skied Upper and lower show off with him last Sunday). The youngest gets a bit freaked out when she picks up speed on steeper blues and forgets to turn but she is getting better at reeling it in...she likes to go fast though so things can get interesting.

Both are in a wedge christie on blues but can make parallel turns on lodgepole. We worked on j turns and found a shady spot with firm snow this morning to work on our side slipping a bit...other than that is was just skiing today and talking about turn shape and not using the entire run to make turns when it's busy.

Today they skied crystal for the first time and did really well. I'm hoping to get them back out next Sunday but we'll have to wait and see.

Buy used! Look for something with a wood core.

Seems like people board for a season or two and get new ones. Lots of perfectly good used snowboards to be had if your patient.

    Good luck!

    just a few things.
Looking at the wrong time. End of the season usually has the best deals. At places like sportsbasment, online or somthing like Craigslist?. Boots I would try in store to make sure they fit.

Boots -if you feet are no longer growing- just get new ones- A good pair of boot that fit correctly make a world of difference and will change your whole riding day/season- crappy boots will just make your day/season suck. When your feet are not connected comfortably and secure to board it will effect your riding.

The House online has decent prices on last seasons gear. Buying used boards and skis is ok but do yourself a favor and get new boots. Nothing ruins a day on the hill faster than boots that don't fit well. https://www.the-house.com/?gclid=Cj...MTRHHTpBaQTLIqTNJzxoC7oAQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds

How tall are you and what is your shoe size? I have a board, boots, and bindings that I don't use anymore.

I also have some brand new Spyder snow pants too in a L size.
