    Sweet DH bike!
    I heard that they might not open for downhill at all at Blue Mountain? You hear anything about that?
    I've only been there once with the family, but was able to get a couple runs in, would love to go again.

    What is the 2nd battery for? Do you have fridges and inverters?
    Unless you're going solar, you dont need a second battery, i was trying to build a dual battery and settled its not necissary if you upgrade/ upsize your main battery.

    Reason i say unless you have solar, your alternator will be outputting the same amount (if not more if you account for inefficiency) to charge both units.

    I put my winch relocation bracket in that spot

    It’s a very crappy spot to weld in. I can barely see what’s going on. Have fun! Lol

    TRD emblems, tinted windows, OEM running boards, AVS vent shades, RMAS upgrade, LED lights in front and rear, interior LED lighting upgrade, LED lighting in bed, touch control dash mount for LED lighting, auxillary 12v and USB jacks in bed, replace all speakers with Infinity, custom mod with Bose tweeters, TRD Pro illumination mod...
    I would like to move all of my auxiliary lights/ off road lights to feed from a 2nd battery. I have already replaced my OEM battery with a CT Eliminator and was wanting a home for the OEM battery I replaced.

    i figured i wanted to do the same with a second battery and install a 1000W pure sine inverter to run all the auxillary stuff (have a way to charge a laptop inside the truck as there is no way to do so) and to isolate it from the OEM stuff and thus this monstrosity was born;
    IMG_20210331_180022392.jpg

    but honestly, in my opinion as i know you have a pretty clean system compared to most people - i find it's just extra work and money to throw into an idea that does not benefit you much in the long run. if you're scared of running the battery low, there are cut-off solutions that exist, and you can get smaller battery powerbanks that come with a booster cable which can hide in the cubby behind/ beside the rear-passenger seats and the door.

    Again, this is from my experience trying to do the same thing as you're trying to achieve now.
    The extra battery weight (additional 30lbs unless you go Lithium power) and their cost; $200 for a cheap battery and another $150 for the bracket. IMO is hardly worth it unless you know you're going to be having those auxiliary lights on and running next to 24/7 with the truck off (or just LED camp lights or low light work lights) and with the possibility of having solar power expansion in the future. then yeah, go for the dual battery.

    I'm not trying to discourage you to get it, by all means you do you, i'm just trying to let you know that the days of the dual battery set up from days of Crocidile Dundee are long gone.

    As for the "home" for your battery, get yourself one of these carriers and leave the OEM battery at home and top it off occasionally. You can drag it over to the truck and use it as way to start your truck if you drain the battery in the winter accidently.

    Thx for the input. Guess I will find something else to do with the OEM battery I pulled. Now what else can I put in that empty spot?
