I posted a pic. I can't seem to find it on my computer. There was no change in my camera image from factory grill to new grill.

I looked at Falkens in that size but I think they weigh as much as 285 70R17 KO2’s E Rated at 58lbs. I stayed away from them due to weight. Ended up with 265 70R17 General Grabber ATX, which weigh in the lower 40 lbs. I almost went 275, tho’. I was very close.

Those are stock 265/70r16. I would like to get 265/75r16s later on, but stock will do for now.

Unfortunately, when you use lift block/spacer, it's not even a poor man's good lift...it's a poor man's BAD lift.

Having said that...It's still a relatively "safe" and minimally acceptable lift option, but far from ideal. Toyota probably wanted to offer a budget lift option and that is what this is. The main thing they are not considering is the fragility of the needle bearing.

IMO, the minimum no-frills lift people should consider is 5100-spec shocks (or similar)+ stronger lift springs + AAL. Based on many reports of vibration problems, bearing should be replaced with the aftermarket bushing at the same time as the lift. /thread.

I think aftermarket springs are longer and the idea is to limit preloading the shock.

I think some silver eibach springs would look good, on those silver shocks.

I'm guessing this kits settle some in the front. TRD Pro don't sit that high from the factory.

My new ‘21 Off Road DCAT MGM with 32 miles is getting the lift installed today, with 17” TRD Pro 4Runner rims and BFG KO2 265/70R17 C load tires. The asst service manager also found Toyota black lug nuts which will fit the rims. I’ll post pics tomorrow—can’t wait to see it. The lift is also covered under the 3yr/36K warranty.

So you can order the suspension components alone for $320 and basically have bilstein 5100s for much cheaper than ordering the actual name brand? o_O

Got my alignment today. As most people have stated on other threads, you should really consider getting some aftermarket UCA’s.

I have stock UCA’s and the tech maxed out caster with keeping camber and toe at zero. He could have increased caster a bit at the same rate camber would also increase. He suggested I keep camber at zero to get even tire wear. Drives straight and isn’t terrible, but I’m guessing some extra caster would really help the sloppiness on the highway.

I had the dealer install my TRD lift kit today. I purchased it at the time of sale two weeks ago but it was still on back order at the time I picked the truck up. They agreed to leave the foglights in place for me instead of pulling them out and putting the blackout plates in.
At first I wasn’t too keen on going with the Pro grill, but so far I’m pretty happy with the way it looks. Now to get into the clamshell bushing etc. 1B609FDF-886E-4139-A436-79170C901B78.jpg 3C34F80D-D35B-47E3-BCE5-4438BE6534AF.jpg

That is such a huge improvement! Truck looks great! What did you go with for the rubber? I'm surprised your dealer let you leave the fog lights in. I thought they had to take them out for legal reasons?

Thanks. I was pretty happy to finally get the truck, but even happier with the way it turned today.

I went with the 265/70R17 Goodyear Duratracs. I’ve had them on my previous trucks, an F-150 and an F-350 and had good luck with them.

I was told when scheduling the install that they would certainly be pulling the foglights off. I debated pulling the fuse and covering up the lenses with black tape before I dropped it off. This morning I told them that if they left the lights as is they could keep whatever shop time was allotted to their advantage. They seemed a little iffy whether they could, or would do that but in the end they left them. Saves me time of reinstalling them.
