Had our first snowfall here today in SW Michigan. Started unpacking all my ice fishing stuff to get everything organized. Then checked the weather and the rest of the week is high 60’s lol

Im in the boat as you here in MN. Last week I was going to do a bunch of kayak fishing before it got too cold... then it snowed several times, so I started boxing things up, put the kayak in the rafters. Now this week is all mid-upper 60s, so time for some dock fishing.

Got married over the weekend. There was a river on the back side of the venue. Might have taken my spinning rod with me...
And the photographer decided she needed a picture of me fishing - while wearing a suit. One of my favorite from the weekend

Got the rod/reel for $20 and the lead for $2. Would have bought more lead but I have alot now. The cot was $5 but I can't figure out how to fold it up.

We got our usual BS on during my birthday trip to Lake of the Woods. Hawaiian shirts make below zero feel tropical.

I reckon it’s about the right time of year to get this thread moving again.
I need to find my fishing stuff and go through it and see what I have and what needs maintenance.
I’m considering picking this reel up from work (as well as a few others) as my dad recently purchased a 21’ sea pro and we’ll be able to fish comfortably out past the barrier islands and not relegated to the bays and the gulf of the weather is right.

I took a few days off to do some Delaware Bay fishing in the kayak. While in Cape May, NJ unloading a cop shows up saying they got called about 2 guys unloading boats on the road. The cop saw the ‘boats’ were kayaks and basically blew it off. The look on his face was priceless….
