    That is perfect! Cat5 will run 1000Mbit (1Gb). The best 4K streaming will use 25mbit. You’ll never use the throughout of Cat5 on a home network.

    Edit: Well this is embarrassing. I’m an IT guy even. Cat5 can go 100Mbit. Cat5e can do 1GB. Both will still be more than a typical home user would need.

    You know what I wish manufactures would do it build is a 2+ port network switch in their devices. You could have a line in to your TV and then take off from there to a gaming device and from there to a sat box etc. it would raise the cost of the device by $5-10.

    You can’t stream everything on IMDb. Unless there is some free streaming IMDB app that no one knows about. Why would anyone pay for multiple streaming services if IMDB has it?

    I’m really confused.

    Buy a cheap 5 port network switch. Your current line in and the other ports for your other devices. Network switches aren’t like a splitter where the signal dedrades. Monoprice sells their own brand and they work great.

    I use AppleTV HD, PLEX on a capable laptop, stream Netflix, Amazon Prime full time and Disney, AppleTV+ part time for now. All on hard wired network and VPN for my torrents to put on my PLEX server. Total cost a month is $85 month for everything. Been cable free since 2014.
