That’s unfortunate, I enjoy running and it’s difficult to not run until I get lighter.

I did 10 miles today, got home and weighed after my shower and I’m back under 300, 293.2 to be exact.

Finally jumped back on my program to lose the COVID pounds. Started on the "old school" Atkins program last Monday, and I'm down 6 lbs. Hopefully I'll be down another pound tomorrow morning to give me 7 for the week, but I'm more than happy with 6. I'll ease off on the strictness this coming week.

Walking/jogging 3 miles every morning, and I hit the gym three times/week. I also try to do something extra at least one day on the weekends. That would be a new personal record...lol Not sure if it's my imagination, but I feel more agile than last week. It's probably more the additional gym work than the diet. I returned to the gym 3 weeks ago.

I should drop 2.5-3 lbs per week once I settle into my typical "diet" routine. Shooting for 15 lbs the first month, then another 10-12 lbs every month I stay "on program." Goal is to be in the NIH "over weight" category after 6 weeks. Not sure how long it will take to hit their "normal" weight category, but I'll continue pushing towards that goal. I think it's built for people with a skinny build, and that's not really me.

I guess I should shoot for waist size, not actual weight. Currently a 38, and want to be a 34. That's about 40 lbs away from where I started. Generally speaking, 10 lbs equals about 1" in the waist.

    Fingers crossed!

I hit -22 pounds by Christmas day, so I met my first goal. My next goal is to lose a total of 40 lbs (another 18 pounds) before the Shamrock 8K around March 18th.

I still want to drop an additional 10 pounds on top of that to get where I should be, so I won't be "taking the pack off" until I'm down 50.
