Guys! I’m annoyed over here! I have a 2001 Tacoma and I’m trying to replace the rear speakers. Crutchfield shows they pop off at the top. They do not. I ordered the trim tools and they don’t budge. HELP! LOL!!

Hey thanks! I’ll check those forums as well. I figured out that I will have to remove the panel. It’s not a door though. And crutchfield specs say just pry it off. But no worries! I’ll figure it out.

Dang, good luck to you. Probably won't be as hard as you think but will take some time

You need to remove the top screw that holds the hanger hook and rear screw on the floor door trim, both seat belt face covers/ bolts and trim piece that goes across the top of the rear seats as well as the edge of the lower seat trim section for it to clear. The whole panel will pop off without too much hassle after that.
