I ordered the URD MK3 SC (stage II) for my 2016 2.7. It has a LCE equal length header and I’ll probably upgrade to a free flowing intake, if I think it’s warranted.
I don’t ever expect to run the engine at redline, but will drive it from 1000’ elevation to 6000’ elevation, loaded and empty many times during it’s useful life. The added HP the SC provides at low and mid-range is just what I want.
More real life performance capabilities, as I learn what the setup CAN and CANNOT DO.

Installed the URD MK3 Stage II SC @ 44,700 miles and now have 51,000.

The more I drive this setup the more I like it.

Put a set of Michelin Defender tires (265 50 20s) on @ 50k, they helped the ride quality, but anticipate a set of Bilstein B6 4600 of 5100 shocks in the near future, IF THE PRICE IS RIGHT.

Sounds like a really fun truck! FYI, the stock air intake you have is already the best cold air intake you can get. It’s the same airbox Toyota uses in the V8 4Runner which has obviously much higher airflow demands than your 4cyl.
A nicely sized intake manifold spacer might improve throttle response and the torque curve some more.

How was the install? Could you post up some pics of it? URD's site only has like 2 and I wanna take the plunge!

I wish I could say I did it myself, but those days are behind me.

I had a professional mechanic do the work. Took him 4 days and some studying of the plans, but the results are worth it to me.

Next chance I get I’ll post a short walk around video.

Headed to Oregon this week to visit family.

Do either of you gents know if the 13-15 2TR-FE trucks also require a AFR sensor calibrator?

For the MAP-ECU3, that module is necessary to control closed loop tuning.

Well good thing you mentioned that aboutbthe 13-15. That's beneficial for all.

Send it back. Get a Haltech Elite. Wire it in, and hit me up. :D.

Question though, have you looked over your tuning map yet? The one we had for my buddy's was totally out of scale, and making his run quite dangerously lean in upper room boost. 17 to 19 AFR's. Surprised his engine is still in one piece.

It's 2021, anyone know where I can find a turbo or supercharger kit for my '09 tacoma 2TR-FE? I know underdog racing makes one but it's out of stock and prob has been for a while now. I found one for a HIACE but idk what kind of mods it would need to fit. Any help is appreciated.

I'd kill to be able to make a stainless manifold on my own.
I was in touch with Waystar yesterday about getting some stainless 2TR manifolds made- but the minimum quantity they'd want to do that would be 30 :(
I'm considering seeing how much my local fab shop (Force Fed Engineering) would charge to make one if I give them my manifold and downpipe.

I did see that URD makes a catless midpipe for the 2TR that's been teasing me and my wallet lol. Throw in some OVTune goodness, and let 'er eat!

I may have to purchase a alilbaba manifold, to make the jig, then use that jig for my own manifold. Still sucks, not having a truck to throughly check clearances with.

Ran into a similar issue with the one I am currently building on this race truck. Test fit went well, but had to make modifications. Would have screwed a customer, if I did not have the truck to be able to test fit and remedy.

What I can tell you, is that you have plenty of clearance with these top-mounts. I can certainly get you measurements if you'd like. Like from the turbo flange to valve cover clearance, as well as runner to fenderwell clearance.
    Anything you need, I gotchu!

I know it's an old pic, but you can see the room available when I test fit the turbo to the manifold. Turbo is a GT2871r for reference.
