Been a while since I've posted here
New wheels and tires, camper shell is off for paint

Pulled my spare 3rd member apart yesterday to get ready to throw some 4.56 gears and a truetrac in since my 4.56 open decided to start spewing oil from the pinion after i changed the pinion seal :bananadead::bananadead::bananadead:
Ordered an install kit last night from East Coast Gear Supply, waiting on that to get here and then the fun begins

10in/lb preload on just the pinion
18in/lb on the pinion and carrier
    Total preload is 20in/lb
    Backlash is 0.007 avg

It just backed out and galled the threads a little. I think I just need to chase it with a tap and put a new plug in.

Trailered the tacoma to a buddies place in Austin then drove to Big Bend from there for a week. The 881s ride so much better than 882s, downside is 285s are a tad big and started eating my bumper since it was tweaked from a fender bender.

And theres a Baja Designs S1 somewhere along the river road in Big Bend if someone wants to try and find it.

Overall a great trip and gives me an excuse to start saving for a tube bumper
