Installed the URD Y-pipe for the extra bung for a wideband O2 sensor and after install I can only describe the noise as an Audi 4000 5cyl gurgle. Thinking about adding a resonator to see if it cures me of the Audi 5cyl gurgle, anyone else experience the same?

Couldn’t stand the sound. Went back to stock almost immediately.

I'm learning to accept the sound and aside from the gurgle I don't mind the noise.

Adding a resonator ain't gonna cut it. You need a good chambered muffler to cut back on that sound. I went though 3 mufflers + resonators before finding a combo I liked.

    Header > Y pipe > large vibrant resonator > flowmaster 50 series > small vibrant resonator >

I also tried magnaflow straight though and chambered. The chambered sounded better but it was drone city. The flowmaster is much more robust and much quieter.

Did you have the straight through and chambered installed together inline of one another?

Sorry for the bump but got my pipe installed the other day on my 2018 and omg the tin sound is driving me nuts. Did you even find a good replacement muffler to kill the tin civic sound?

Eventually it kind of grows on you if you have the SuperCharger but it isn't pretty with the window down.

Like I said before a good chambered muffler is the ticket. Mine is still quite loud with the 50 series but the rasp is mostly gone. I still might swap it out for a 70 series later on to cut the dB's a little more.
