Backspacing and offset will be critical to avoid rubbing the UCA (unless you change them) on the inside and the aft wheelwell on the outside at high turning angles. 8.5" might be a bit much for a 275 unless you are going for a squared off tire profile. It is certainly within the window for a 275/70/17 tire, though. I think it's the max recommended width for that size tire.

I think im going to go with the 275/70/17 unless my dealer gets back to me and I switch to 16". what would you recomend for a 16?

275/75/16 is almost exactly the same size tire.

please don’t laugh. i’m thinking of getting the SEMA gray trd oem matte 17” wheels so i’m googling Wild
Peaks but cooper tires and walmart keep showing up at like $122 bucks instead of $170 for wild peaks. thoughts??

    I have a 2021 OR with only 16” wheels.

what am I missing? I do mostly fire roads and camping. no crawling or mud. maybe snow 1x a year. I already got a subie for my snow driving.

are these the right tires from walmart?

Those Coopers are a proven tire that lots of people love. They look more aggressive in person, and are supposed to be decent in winter as well. A couple friends I have swear by them.

Also the grey SEMA wheels are beautiful. I have a set and no regrets.

Many of the knockoff TRD pro wheels are wider than the 7" Toyota ones so they can support a 285 tire. That's my only guess on why they could sell for more $.

275/70/17 Wildpeaks, 17x9 -25 offset VTX Stingers with SCS center caps and SimplyMuggle TRD stickers. 2.5” lift from 6112 and 5160 with 3 leaf aal. Had to lose the mudflaps, the tires barely rub the cab mount now. I think I would need CMC for anything bigger on these wheels.

As of now I have 275/70/17 wildpeaks on Trd 4R pro wheels. There is a slight rub on plastic liner only on full lock turn into a sloped driveway entrance. waiting patiently for my lift!

This is probably a stupid question but what size wheels would I need to fit my stock tires? I am looking at the stealth F5 wheels if I can ever find them but I dont want to get new tires.

Are these OEM wheels that are 17x7 with +5mm offset, or are they 17x8 wheels with 0mm offset? Looks beautiful!

Those are 17x7 if they are OEM. -4mm offset comes to mind. I had some aftermarket/replicas that were 17x8 on my 2nd gen.
