When I first started I’d take the spare & throw it in the bed just so I would not have to dig it out from underneath the truck on the trail if need be.

 

I don't think I ever even did that the two times I've been out with the TW group. That was never a thing for me honestly, until I got the to-size spare.

The to-do list will be evaluated this weekend at some point hopefully. Getting closer!!

There are a bunch of options for relocating a spare. In the end it’s simply a move that makes a wheeling incident less painful.
I bent a wheel @ Rausch Creek one time and was very grateful to have the spare on the rear swing out.

 

Exactly why I positioned the spare and jack like I did. I can get up on the tail gate, close the glass, drop down the jack, then drop down the wheel, since I'll need both and boom.

 

Spent the day knocking out a bunch of things, finished Moms garden for the year (it’s a Mother’s Day thing). Then went to work on the truck.

Cleaned the interior, removed a bunch of old stickers and the door badges and washed.
Going to need another weekend day of detailing to remove the little bits that are left, sun kicked my butt today. (This part kills my mom). I’m red as hell right now but should be tanned by the end of the week (if not sooner).
So called it quits around 5ish.

Holy crap!! That’s insane! Honestly I thought you were sending me a Deadpool picture when I saw you commented in here…

I watched the spike the last few days and I’m blown away by the response, the views and everything else. Give a wave! (As long as you’re ok with it!)

 

It's been a hot second since I took the time to detail the truck and then go get photos... so Photo dump.
I think the only thing major that I want (want not need) is the hybrid bumper at some point.

 

Couldn’t pass up the opportunity to snag a quick picture of trucks I drive. Amocat is parked between our Chief and Chemical and Tower apparatus thawing all the ice and snow off.

Amocat will be getting a new license plate soon enough too.

 

Day 1: I know a few items I need to add to the truck. Mostly cooking stuff. But I’m think I want to add to the rack a way to do drop down privacy thing to get changed. Waaaaaay more people out this weekend then we expected. Darkness is an Friend.

I think I also need to get a wider sleeping pad for the bed of the truck. Aaaaand a rain cover. (Yes the night is young, but it’s now calling for rain.).

This is the whole point of this trip, first time actually running the set up as purposed and learning. Aaand to relax.

Yesterday’s dinner was pretty damn good as well!! No rain Saturday night, slept outside all night it was awesome!

Last night the temps dropped below what was forecasted, so I ditched the hammock for the bed of the truck. Thank goodness too, around 3 am I woke up to some light rain, sleet and I’m pretty sure hail. Given the way it was hitting the glass. for sure need a wider sleeping pad, and a few other items.
