Coyoza Tuning has been acquired by @chanvchau / CVC Tuning.

Christian and I want to say that the Coyoza partnership could not have been successful without the help of the outstanding local support in El Paso, and eventually the support of the larger 3GT and tuning community, and we are very grateful

We are also very proud of the Coyoza custom tune for the 3GT 6MT and are very happy to see so many happy Tacoma owners on that tune. The Coyoza MT tune is not going away. CVC intends to still offer it under the Coyoza name and brand, and expand upon it as more 3GT ECU versions become available. So don't worry, that custom tune will still be available to customers. But I will let CVC expand more on that if they want.

I imagine they will start their own thread to post info as necessary, but this thread will remain active for reviews, feedback, inquiries, etc. The Facebook page will also remain active for support/inquiries. However, I will no longer provide information regarding pricing for the tune or things like that, because I am no longer the provider of the Coyoza tune.
*Local flash services still available directly from Christian and I in El Paso as Yotawerx Tuning, but that's a separate topic, independent of this acquisition of Coyoza by CVC.

Moving forward, Chan Chan / CVC Tuning is the owner and distributor of the Coyoza custom tune for the MT. Please reach out to them via their various contact methods or via the Coyoza_Tuning Facebook page to obtain the tune, set up partnership agreements, questions, etc. Chan/CVC is the rightful recipient of royalty payments for flashing the tune. Prices for obtaining the tune and providing royalty payments are subject to CVC's established policies, please confirm them with Chan Chan.

Ways to reach Chan Chan / CVC Tuning include the Coyoza_Tuning Facebook page mentioned above, CVC's website which will bring you to their Instagram page, and Chan Chan's Facebook page or via PM here on TW (his handle is at the top of this post).

Thank you so much for all the help, encouragement, and support you all have given us.

Just finished a 360 mile road trip after getting the Coyoza Tacoma tune flashed on my stock 2018. This tune came highly recommended by people I trust. I'm trying to keep it short here but it performed as advertised, actually a little better than advertised. Shifting was predictable and the throttle was smooth. City driving the tune holds the gear a bit higher which allows for more response and torque instead of shifting too early and being sluggish because of low RPM. Although the RPMs were higher the engine did not seem to be working harder, again just smooth and responsive. Now for the best part, driving sensibly, as in normal merging onto the interstate and not flooring it, trying to keep an average speed of 78-80 on the rolling hills of Kentucky on I-65 between Louisville and Nashville, my mpg was 23.6. That's more than a 10% increase in gas mileage. At this rate the payback for the cost of the tune will come quickly.

All in all my expectations were exceeded in both city and interstate driving. Anyone who is in the market for better performance out of their Tacoma should seriously consider this one. I've tried a few others, and this one will stay on my truck.

    Well done!

The tune in my 2020 a/t is awesome, consistent shifting, better acceleration and definitely helped the low end significantly. Appreciate the help guys 5*

I can vouch for Marc and his Coyoza tune. My truck is manual with Wildpeak AT3W E load Range 265/70/17. I was on KDMax 6.0 Tune for almost 4 weeks, I believe. It doesn't have the WOW Factor, don't believe the hype. I recently did 600-700 miles road trip on weekend, and I notice that my truck was struggling on the highway with cruise control on set at 73 MPH , while the speed limit is 70 MPH on PA Turnpike I-76. Normal driving, I notice that I have no power in low end with KDMax. I didn't get really good MPG, and I would only get 18-19 on the highway. Now with Coyoza Tune with 93 octane in my gas tank, I immediately notice the big difference between Coyoza and KDMax 6.0, it's the linear of the power, smooth acceleration, better throttle responsive. I saw my miles per tank went up, and my average miles per gallon went up. I got 21 MPG during my commute one morning. There was plenty of power in the low end compare to KDMax which have none. The truck was very happy and it's go go go, and even notice no struggle at all!

did you use the XT version of KD, or has anyone else compared that version to this tune? I had a definite low throttle deficiency with KD until they did the XT version. still, I'm interested to compare these two files if that is possible. i seem to have chronic rich-running problems with all tunes so far.

i am happy to report my experience with this tune. 2017 MT 04B14 custom exhaust & OV dump tubes. i run 93 octane.

finally a tune for a MT by a MT Tacoma driver. the difference is so clear.

    - super happy with first gear, it's by far the best first gear tune I've tried. that matters SO much in the MT trucks, because your second gear take off will never be good if you come out of a weak first. this is the very first tune i have run that doesn't require first gear throttle modulation to nail second. i can hold steady on the throttle in first, and second is reliably good. that in itself is amazing to me after how many dozens of tunes, maybe over 100 on this truck.

    - general power is back to the potential. the last tune I've tried, the most popular one out there right now, is super smooth, factory smooth, but the power was down from some previous MT OV files like SFOB and a version of 1.05 iirc. most of the MT guys around here have not forgotten the performance from those files.
    - no codes with the dump tubes after maybe 7-8 start & run cycles, ~120 miles.
    - the motor is back to its punchy self, with a more urgent power delivery and a better sound, which is a bonus with my exhaust work. i have missed it. I've been running smoother than ever, and I've been so bored. now more fun and the truck is more alive than my last experience on KD. i appreciate that tune and the service from Kreg, it was great, and i would still call that the smoothest tune i have tried. but i prefer this Coyoza tune on my truck no question about it.

i do notice some occasional, not consistent, stepped power delivery as you run up the revs. and it likes to jump at 3500rpm at times, not a surge, just a little noticeable bump. but not every time. my truck is super sensitive and reveals all these things from solid motor mounts and reinforcement everywhere, but i don't mind it. it goes well with my rough-running unequal length exhaust. the character of the truck seems back now. that last little bit on this motor seems to be where all the MT fun is found.

for me I'm still running rich and my mileage is awful as before, but at least now I'm getting something out of it with the improved performance.

thanks again, glad we could work it out.

Of the many different MT files I’ve run, this is the best one that exists today. You can definitely tell it was developed on a manual truck by a MT driver and not just an auto file ported over to a manual.

Is this coyoza tune available in person only or is the tune file sold for diy flashing?

Edit: I assume that's what the "remote tune" sales is.

I agree w Shellshock. I have Coyoza on my '20 TAco MT. It's been amazing and very smooth! It is much much better than KDMax and Valley. That's why I will offer to flash Coyoza Tune on Taco MTs from now on.

Anyone here have a A/T that has previously used KDMAX 6 and is now using Coyoza? Pros/cons?
