So mine didn't even come with a bracket so I took the old one and used it on the new Head Unit. Had to set the screws up a but differently but fit perfect after that. Everything else was plug and play. I have noticed people mention that sometimes they can hear me clearly and sometimes they can't. I plugged in the mic that goes from the back of the unit and fed through to sit right near my dash. Is the mic that is on the front of the unit usable.

Does your factory USB port work or do you have to buy the adapter to use it? Mostly care for charging purposes. The Qi charger is ass. Just turns the phone into a molten rock

Can anyone help me get the steering wheel controls working? I've got a Joying head unit and a 2019 tacoma. Got most stuff working, except for the steering wheel controls.

Currently don't have the vehicle type set. I remember seeing that in one of the youtube vids I watched, but I can't seem to remember where that setting was in the head unit. Let me dig around that thread and see. I'm sure it's in there somewhere. Or maybe it's under that settings page where you have to input the passcode to get to those settings?

Need to have a car set as it controls the steering wheel controls. Trying to do it in the "steering wheel control" page doesnt do anything.

Thanks man! Gonna go out in the garage and see if I can find the screen that lets me set the vehicle type. Also looks like I might need to connect the 'can out' plug to the 'can in' based on that thread you linked.

Yeah, they changed things up a bit with the new version of the headunit. The linked thread started out with the first version, then some second versions hit the market, but now its mostly people with the 3rd version. So while some of the wiring info is not 100% right for the newer version, most of the settings stuff is the same.

If anyone figures out a way to get a front camera working with this lemme know.

Also, the factory rear camera looks like SHIT on this 1080p display. Anyone find a better replacement rear camera?

To all my fellow joying head unit owners with Tacoma’s.

I just found out that DLRs are not working. It is NOT an electrical issue.. I already checked fuse, relay and jumped relay and DLRs work properly so it is a software issue:

I just found out that on my joying unit on the “car info” it is possible to activate or deactivate DLRs but I do not know why I press it and it does NOT let turn them on.

Also downloaded Carista app and through OBD turned DLR off and on again to see if I could override the head unit and it did nothing.

    Any help is greatly appreciated

My DLR's work perfectly fine. I will add though, I do not have auto head lights. Maybe you do and the issue is with that?
