    Thanks for reading this.

I have 2017 Toyota Tacoma TRD Pro. I have had Amp power steps, DB customz grille, and hood scoop, grille and bumper insert light from Spartan X.

Nothing is tying into the system except for at the battery and in the fuse box under the dash. All have their own accessories fuses.

Lately, my radio has been restarting for no reason. Last Sunday, it completely shut down and so did my QI charging button (still lit up, but not working) and my rear view mirror knob no longer works. Sometimes my backlit grille would come on for no reason...I thought it was due to something with the battery contacts/ground.

The dealership likes to blame it on the accessories, but they have been on for approx 9-10 months, so they should not be causing this.

I took it in to the dealership for a few hours and they said it was the ECU/ACC fuse that kept tripping (7.5 Amp) underneath the driver side dash. Does anyone have anything similar or thoughts?Just trying to get my radio, QI charger, and mirrors working again. Please let me know and thanks in advance!

Yes. I actually just fixed my issue that was like this. However, I had a shorted out wire that I needed to fix. My automatic starter I believe was tapped into the wrong wire. That’s the only thing I can think of. I took my whole dash apart and found the short. Took me 7 months of going back and forth with Toyota. Finally I just looked myself and fixed it. The ECUACC connects to a lot of different things in the truck. My Entune System wouldn’t even turn on. I was also blowing the BKUPLP fuse. Once I fixed that wire, I’ve had no issues.

Thank you! I do have a remote starter that I don't use that may be the issue...I'll have them look into it...I'd do it myself, but I'm not good at electrical stuff like that...:0(

Let me know what you find out with the Automatic Starter. I’ll try to help. Are there any other fuses that are blown?

I have a set of amp power steps on my Tacoma. I installed them without issue...they do require you to locate the signal wires for all four doors. Some of the wires in the factory harness are the same color like ten if I remember... sounds like you have a short to ground maybe whomever installed the steps removed insulation from wires while fishing for the correct signal wire. I would inspect the factory harness under both driver and passenger front door sills since that’s where you tap in for the power steps...look for broken insulation on wires could be as small as a pinhole touching metal or touching each other...

UPDATE: After the local dealership tried to blame it on the aftermarket accessories and wasted my time; I had my truck shop test it. They disconnected everything after market and the ECU ACC fuse (7.5 Amp) still blew. I'm taking it to the dealership I bought it from (2 hrs away) to have them check it out. Let me know if anyone else has had any issues with the ECU ACC fuse in theirs. I'll update once we figure it out. I suspect the radio, but who knows....

That’s exactly what happened to mine and the Regional FTS thought it was my Entune System as well. Look forward to hearing about what you find

I had a similar issue. I have a 2016 DBSB TRD Sport with the Entune (non JBL) stereo. I recently installed a 4 channel amp and a small powered sub but accidently touched the remote turn on wire from the stereo to the amp ground and the radio stopped working. I still had constant power to the back of the Entune stereo but it wouldn't turn on. After digging through the fuse boxes I found a blown 7.5A (ECU ACC) fuse in the box under the steering wheel. Replaced the fuse and now it works.
