Has anyone tried the Osprey slimline RTT hard shell

I did get it and it arrived within a week of ordering. Unfortunately, mine arrived damaged and they are sending me a replacement. First impressions are that it is VERY nice though. I bought it through an independent dealer, so I haven't been dealing with FSR directly, but so far their customer service has been pretty darn good!

 

My first post! Here's the story my friend and I preordered ours (Osprey Slimline RTT) JUN 23, 2021 and they said estimated delivery date was late August so I was like great! We can take this camping AUG 27-29 and do a review on it. Fast forward to today AUG 31 still no tent but they have communicated with me stating...

Osprey - "We are reaching out to let you know that the shipping timeline for your order is mid-September. The container that your tent is on is currently on its way to our port for an ETA of September 14th. Once released, we’ll be performing sorting and getting ready for your shipment to go out the door."

So I'm not mad because of the price we got it for compared to the other companies that's not in our budget. The reason why we chose this RTT tent vs others because its very streamline/slim vs the Roofnest that sits on top of Tacoma and hangs out from the side or the GFC Superlite which is affordable but we wanted the rigidity of a Hard Top Tent. Now I was really close on pulling the trigger on the FSR Odyssey 49in wide which opens from the side until Osprey had there Wedge Style 48in Hard Top Tent presale and personal preference Wedge style just looks way better.

Once I have received the tent I will do a full review on my youtube channel. "mrmakasteven"

 

Good Luck. I am not aware of anyone that has received a Slimline yet. Even those that ordered back in December when I originally ordered.....
