Tried the front jackers but it put the seat too high for me as a tall guy. Luckily I'll use them on the passenger seat to shove a ViAir400 underneath with a desert does it mount soon.

Had fuel pump replaced last week. No change to drivability. They did not update the ECU either according to TS. They did attach the fuel tank properly as far as my limited inspection and shoving around showed (apparently some had things not tightened so may want to verify yourself.) One less thing to worry about!

What is the consensus on whether they lift the bed off the truck? I'm scheduled to get this done next week and the advisor said they just drop the fuel tank. The bed of my truck has an air locker hose and a wire loom for the compressor and lights that run down to the frame... all very bad things to stretch if they’re lifting the bed.

I went in this afternoon with 1/8 tank, was told it would take 2 hrs along with my 15K service. I was out in 1 hour and 5 minutes. Tech said that they’ve gotten really good with these. No noticeable difference in driving but the peace of mind is nice as we use the taco as our long trip vehicle.

Dropped off the truck yesterday to have the fuel pump rebuilt.

Service advisor said they rebuild the pump with some new parts. She was laughing about the rental ( '21 Off-road DCSB Cement ) they gave me to use, being the same color as mine...

It seems that was the initial method, so far i've only heard of them asking you to bring the truck in near empty and dropping the fuel tank.

I haven't done much research on this... rebuilding the fuel pump seems ok...

I just want it to work...

Dropping mine off this weekend. Was told bed must be empty and less than 1/2 tank of gas. 2 hour job.

Mine is getting worked on right now. I was told less than a quarter tank of gas, and nothing about the bed.

    Simple.
    We Replace the pump.
    21375F51-46C0-4F20-B917-ADF0372D568B.jpg

We disassemble the fuel pump module which houses the fuel pump and fuel sending unit.
We replace the fuel pump and needed “0” rings. Reassemble the housing and reinstall into the tank.
We do not take the pump apart.
She is using the wrong term. We would need special equipment and time to replace the vanes etc.
More cost effective and better quality control to replace it as a unit..
    :)

The service advisor doesn't know what he/she is talking about. Toyota says this is normal.

Dealership I bought the truck brand new from is refusing to give me a loaner for the recall and 10k service. Told me its gonna take 2.5 hours to do everything. Uhm... well that sounds rushed
