    But but but .....
If you have vFtune as the free upgrade to the original dongle based OVtune package, and you really have no interest in making/modifying tunes.. would the Flash Manager Replacement be the simplest way to load tunes?

LoL! Now, about 500 folks have just jumped off the Cliffs of Confusion. :D

I believe it was said at one point that there were less than 200 dongle folks. They get a free trade in for a full vF License as they were early adopters and @OVTune just wants the dongles off the street.

PCM and P5F support is done and there are no more tune files in FM. IMHO, 2.0 Tunes outshine the 1.05 tunes. Folks have even said their favorite test tunes are not as good as 2.0?

I believe it was said that there are 1,000+ folks who are not upgraded to vF. Many said they would like to stay on the non-editing side and just flash premade tunes. This is @OVTune 's way of supporting them for free.

Complete speculation, but I would suspect that the Flash Manager Replacement (FMR) folks will only get five Credits. No extras for Unlocking an ECU ID or Flashing another VIN.

Personally if I had a dongle, I'd jump on a free full vF License, just like I did with the $79 dongleless upgrade. It just makes the most sense even if I might not view or edit.

I had the original kit and did the free upgrade. Installed it, but haven't ever used it for anything or cashed in any of the initial credits. Since the original release there have been numerous subsequent releases that I haven't installed, so many that I don't even know which way is up anymore. All I really want to do is be able to load whatever (whenever) Mat releases the final 2.0, and or maybe try @PapaRee tunes at some point. I dont care to ever do my own tunes.

    That is completely valid.

You don't need to know which way is up. The latest vF download is there whenever you want to update.

Oh, wow. Been a while since I checked ov tune and it is a vf tune now. Need to read instructions and get me an update. I am happily running 2.0 SuperFOB Premium on my manual taco 04B13. Do I have to hurry and update?

04B14 is really good and will likely not be updated for a long while. @OVTune will get you a new Tune Pack if you update, but you would have to use your own Credits to Unlock the ECU ID if you want to view or edit the tunes.

I don't want to edit tunes. Will stick to what OV Tune developed for us.

Briefly reading posts I understand that as a previous customer I am eligible for upgrades to new software and new tunes. Just need to send an email and provide my info. Was there any significant progress on 04B13 since SuperFob 2.0?

Yes. You can either hang out for the Flash Manager Replacement to release and get that for free or update to vF (dongle is free, dongleless is $79).

There has been no changes to any previously released 2.0 Tune yet. 2.0 Ultimate test tunes for both AT and MT have been sent out.

    bait and switch?

credit cost increase happened a while ago and was announced and talked about ahead of time...

As more features, patches, custom code goes into the future credit costs could go up again.

Yeah my bad bro, not everyone reads all 3500 pages of this and gets the updates. It is what it is... do you anticipate any other price hikes or should I just hoard my credits now? Asking for a friend.

Completely agree! It's also funny how people complain about credit prices going up when they are making money off of selling Mat's tunes.

Just want to say that I absolutely thought I was posting in a different thread last night, and immediately edited the offending post to apologize when yall helped me realize it. I also don't complain about the cost (which is not bad AT ALL), and have posted in the past that Mat absolutely deserves to make his $$. I think I've sent the man over $2k personally. That's including a Tundra tune pack I paid for in November 2020, that I'm still patiently waiting for (I think I've only pinged him 2 or 3 times to remind him to send it in the last 7 months, but I know he's a busy guy with the major updates lately).
