    Yes sir!

This project is going to go fast. I WANTS IT :yay:

Right on course for cost too, I am surprised.

Got shop space secured for a few weeks. My truck is going to be able to sit inside while we work on it. With my shipping container right outside, could not be a better setup for me right now really.

Sick man. Honestly I did a few hours each day (1-3 weather dependent) and got it done in a month. If I went hard at it I could have done it in a weekend (assuming the case was built and ready to go in).

Oh! Also, when you take it apart check the spiral gear that a manual would use for the speed sensor. May be good to see if you have the gear in there if you ever decide to swap rear axles and need to pick up a speed signal from the tcase.

Spent some time this morning starting the clean up of my FJ t-case.

I know @tacoma16 keeps saying Toyota stronk, but is this cracked? Do I need another one? @Windigo

    o_O

It looks to me as thou the molding line from the casting is just chipping off? Maybe I am wrong and its fuked.

Looked better when I was done for the morning.

I don't know for sure but if it was it would be all oily, I'd say with certainty its not cracked. Thoes look like the same plugs have on my fj case. I just left it alone as they dont plug into the harness on our trucks, well that is my experience anyway.
hear is a pic of where i put my shifters. after i messed up my stock trans shifter i improvised with scrap metal peices..lol.

I found that shifter location is the hardest part of this build
the easiest part was what i thought was going to be hard which was the input swap.. have fun with it at least your not letting it sit and collect a year of dust like it did.....

    Yours looks great Farook!

Thanks for the feedback. I think you are correct and it is not cracked. It is just chipping a bit on the mold casing line. It was not oily at all down there.

    Thanks Peter,

I was scared when at 1st when I saw it, but after inspection. I am pretty sure you and Farook are right.

It's casting lines flaking off. :fingerscrossed:

Derp, I knew it had doubled in price when I checked out. Yet did not check why?

Its cause I bought 2.

Oh well, at least I can move forward with the project. :cookiemonster:

That will be an easy sell around here. Shouldn’t be too hard to unload.

Got my workbench all setup today. Attached a vise that I managed to borrow, 8" vise with a pipe fitting under the main jaw. Very nice, new to me vise.

Started taking the FJ t-case apart :fistbump:

More stuff arriving. New clock spring, as mine has started dying. Horn does not work and airbag light came on a few weeks ago.

Some sound proofing to correct what I did on the inside by removing everything in the back.

Worked like a champ on the truck tonight.

    Drained and refilled front diff.

Corrected front shock resi hose angle, so they no longer make contact with the tires at full lock.

Cut the hole in the floor for the manual FJ T-case, modded for twin sticks.
